Tim Burton and Disney team up for two films

The Star Swordsman and LeBatEnRouge - I’m serious! He looks just like him! Maybe it’s his smile or basic facial features? I’m not sure why, but there’s something about him that just…screams “Linguini” to me. :stuck_out_tongue:

no Mitch, I ain’t doubting you. I see the similarities too!

Hah, I just looked at a picture of Linguini, and then looked at one of Tim, and you’re actually quite right, there are some similarities… I think it’s the smile, mostly

I’m so psyched, Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite books, and Tim Burton is one of my favorite directors, a match made in heaven!

and I’d love to see a stop motion Frankenweenie.

John August (screenwriter of Big Fish , Charlie and the Chocolate Factory , and one of the three screenwriters of Corpse Bride) , revealed that he is not writing the feature film-version of Frankenweenie , although he say’s he will begin writing a live-action feature for Tim once the Writers strike ends.

We already know for a fact that he is not writing Alice . Linda Woolverton has already been signed on for that. Although he did say " never say never" when it came to writing Frankenweenie . Even so, he’s most likely not writing it. That live-action film pushes the possible Pixar feature back further (of course, Pixar films start production early, by a number of years, so maybe production started a while back and we only have the “rumor” given by two Pixar employees I believe?) . Knowing Pixar, they’d never let anything slip under the gun like that. Only time will tell… although I hope it’s true.

To be completely honest, ever since Frankenweenie got announced, I’ve had fantasies about me writing the screenplay for it. That would never happen ( “never say never”) , but I’d turn it into something great and do it justice.

Forgive me for the double post.

I’ve got breaking-news on Frankenweenie from the Tim Burton Collective news system/link.

This has got me even more psyched now. Also, it confirmed my expectations that Frankenweenie would be released in 2009.

Also from the Tim Burton Collective ( I try to give them the credit, because, hey, they’re where I get my Tim Burton news) , an original piece of artwork by Tim for his 1984 Frankenweenie live-action short film:

Alice In Wonderland + Tim Burton = Radness
It’s gonna be amazing! can’t wait!
