I might agree with you if it was like eight colors or something, but since it’s only two (and you need to factor in how many colors are going to look good together to begin with, and how many colors are going to reasonably look like they would be used in a cowgirl’s outfit, and I imagine there was at least a bit of consideration about how she’d look against the rest of the Woody’s Roundup cast so her colors had to fit there, too) it’s perfectly possible for it to be accidental. Or, it could not be accidental, but still not mean anything. Someone could have gone “Hey, Andy’s hat in the first one looked really nice, I think I’ll change it up a bit and use it for this new girl” or something.
If I didn’t know only one person opting out wouldn’t make a difference, I’d decide not to see it just out of not wanting to give them money.
Didn’t they establish that Bo Peep was written out of the story in TS3?

Suspects. That just sounds like speculation to me. They Don’t even credit a source. They only link to the LA times article, which makes no mention of Bo peep.
Yeah, I saw that article too. They’re also just coming up with possible theories for the film’s plot. As much as I liked Bo, I would rather for her to stay written out of the actual films (I’m fine with a flashback short for the lost toys) since it might level the impact of Woody’s line in Toy Story 3.
Hopefully, this movie doesn’t try to give Woody a new potential love interest without any probable reason.

It would be cool if TS4 was a flashback type thing. It would show how he and Bo met and fell in love,and also how he first met the others like REX,Hamm and Slink. Didn’t he belong to Andy’s dad at first?

Bo is one of my faves(obliviously),but her absence shows impact on the storyline.
I mean i can understand why some people are pissed. For the ones of us that grew up along with Andy ,we feel like it should have ended right then and there wit TS3,but honestly i think the TS seines is one of those things where the impact is SO HUGE that it’ll be a generational thing forever.These character will be around forever,and will be reincarnated/revamped in some type of way,even if it’s far into the future. They are such classic characters(Woody and Buzz & Co)
It’s kind of like Looney Tunes. Bugs and Daffy are legends amongst the world,and no matter if it was 1944-2014,there will always be some adaption of the Looney Toons,there will always be Warner Brothers merchandise,movies etc.
Maybe Bonnie is the new Andy? Maybe it’s time for our kids,or the younger generation to grow up with Woody and the gang.They can experience the same nostalgia that we did when Bonnie becomes a grown woman.(Toy story 6 …picture it)
Man, feels weird to be back on these forums. But yeah, pretty disappointed that this is happening. But someone made a good point about how TS will basically be immortal. Eventually continuity will be lost and Woody and Buzz will have many tales, like Looney Tunes or Mickey Mouse. Though, I don’t think a whole movie is necessary. I mean, the Disney princesses are still around somehow, and those movies were forever ago. I’d rather have an animated TV series, or just more holiday specials. Maybe a 2D animated series, more Buzz Lightyear of star command, etc.
I really hop Bo does not come back, and I really hope that love story thing isn’t true. I think the love story between the toys is kind of weird. I mean, I’m ok with what they’ve shown, and that’s all that needs to be shown imo. I don’t want some romantic kissing scene or anything like that. Maybe a little sibling for Bonnie would be nice, though the continuous passing of the toys to a new kid thing will get old.

I’m sure everybody has read the new Upcoming Pixar post that states Toy Story 4 will be separate from its predecessors. I guess the writers realize the significance of the original 3 and do not want to potentially tarnish the quality of the trilogy. This news, however, does reveal that the next installment will not focus on a child-toy relationship but will solely focus on a love story between the toys. I hope the writers are able to write a strong film without one of the series’s strongest elements.
Also it pisses me off how the dude can’t even get his descriptions rights for scenes of the movie. Here’s one of their descriptions: the Toy Story scene in which a rocket-propelled Buzz rescues Woody from Scud. What the heck is this dude talking about? I mean, Buzz does save Woody, but by sacrificing himself. And what’s even more stupid is how they have it linked to the friggin video. THey don’t even get the description right.

The recent announcement just cemented the new movie for me alongside the likes of Cars 2 and Monsters U, in that they didn’t need to be attached to old movies, and in fact don’t make sense attached to old movies, but are being made part of the universe of the old movies anyway because it’s more likely to draw in an audience and make more cash.
Seriously, a Toy Story movie that doesn’t focus on the relationship between toys and humans? That was the whole point! That was what made it interesting! Why not just make a Ratatouille sequel that only focuses on the rats with no cooking, while they’re at it?
The latest announcement actually has me fairly hopeful. I’m guessing it will be a bit more similar to the short films. (Which I personally think are awesome)

I love TS so much that i don’t care how many they make, i just hope they don’t start putting iPods/iPhones etcetc in the films, i still want it to be the old style toys that so many of us can relate to from our childhood, that’s what made me fall in love with TS seeing all the toys in the first movie and going 'Omg i had one of those, and one of them etc, That’s what i’d like to see!
Also what if Sid became evil again? That’d be quite fun to see how much he’s changed, considering he’s now a binman and works at the tip where some of the toys were abandoned
