Toy Wars (A Pixar-Crossover)

Chapter 14

Down below on the floor the helicopters were once again loading up droids. Nearby Count Dooku stood watching. He knew about Anakin being with the Emperor and this made him uneasy. Whatever they were talking about he wasn’t going to be a major part of it. They both loved each other, the emperor liked the boy, Anakin liking the leader, and both liking each other and their way of switching sides. This disgusted him so much! Their relationship of power sharing must be stopped but how? How would the emperor ever like someone better then Anakin. As the troops continued their march into the ship Dooku suddenly stepped forward to the leading droid.

“I’m going to. Find me a spot on the first ship.”

“Roger, roger sir! Do you have the Emperor’s orders?”

“Doesn’t matter…the emperor has given me command for the operation.”

With that Dooku stepped aboard the leading transport and with a quick nod to the troops below went up.

Woody and Sarge were equally distributing the men around the ring of fortifications. Their line had been approached by the droids many times but no breach had been afforded. The droids from the last attack where still hanging around the edge and just as the fugitives had fixed the line they began to walk around the edge.

“What are they doing?”

“They are preparing for the next assault, it must be close.”

“So wherever they are not stationed new droids will arrive?”

“That’s correct…they will fill the holes with more droids. Man, I wish we could get out grenades to work. Those would do massive damage.”

“Grenades?”

“Yah, electrically charged grenades. They explode and shock anyone metal nearby. They would work perfectly.”

After Woody stood watching the droids moving he leaned over to Sarge.

“Should we commence operation escape?”

“Yes. Now is the time.”

Count Dooku had an evil plan. If he couldn’t make the Emperor like him more he would make the emperor need him more. If he proved himself indispensable he would always have a part of the important matters of war and would sometime in the future take care of Anakin; secretly. As he thought about his plan an evil grin stole across his face. Half-way up the closet his first action came to mind. The first thing he must do is lead the attack, take out the leading clone general, and also search for any other Jedi’s that might have come on the trip. If he could take out important figures then his plan would work to perfection.

Woody and Sarge silently crept up to the stationed droids. These having their backs turned to the clones never heard them until the leader happening to turn around shouted;

“Clones! Fire!”

It was just too late. The clones springing on the droids overpowered them and with their guns finished them off.

Sarge took over the operation plan.

“Take the droids and hold them in place. Make it look like everything is just fine. Then when the helicopters arrive fire into the holds and rush in. The helicopters will take us down. Then we must use surprise to let us win or else we will all die.”

Soon the choppers could be heard approaching the shelf. Sarge looking over the edge counted four of them.

“They had a large scale invasion ready for us.” He said to himself.

Soon he could make out the leading copters coming close to the right side of the shelf. Moving swiftly to his right he was just about to commence the attack when something in the belly of the transport stopped him.

Dooku has just finished his evil dream when he looked up towards the shelf. As he did so a dreadful sight met his eyes. There stood a Clone commander looking down at him. The realization that a trap had been set crossed his mind. Preparing himself for the greatest fight of his life he brandished his lightsaber. The world seemed less inviting when he thought of the amount of clones waiting for him at the top.

Oooo I sense trouble again, not that there hasnt been any yet, but I feel a theoretical bomb is about to go off.

Chapter 15

The helicopters slowly came level with the platform. Sarge instantly threw away the droid he was hiding behind and with a single bound landed on the pilot.

“Wah!!!” screamed the droid. “A clone!!!”

Panic followed along the lines of helicopters as similar incidents plagued the droids. Before they could exit the belly of the transport clones would suddenly appear and open fire cutting them all down. Then one of the more agile clones would seize the cockpit and take control of the plane. It was like a turkey shoot-out. Soon the droids were overpowered and the clones held all of the planes except for one. This one remained shut even though Sarge had attempted to open it automatically through the pilot’s seat.

Woody and the rest of the clones came up to him. “What is the matter?”
Sarge hopped off the pilot seat. This transport has a Sith Lord inside. Obviously he expected to get some praise for helping defeat us but instead has gotten himself caught in a trap. He has used the force to keep the doors shut. Only a Jedi could open them.

Woody looked at the ship hovering on the edge. “Then we must continue with the plan anyway. Although a battle could be commenced the danger would just be to great to risk. Let the rest of th clones pack into the ships. We must continue to act like droids until we are detected. The Emperor might not know about the defeat quite so soon and a escape might be derived.”

Sarge looked at the men around the plane. “Stand back! I don’t want these doors to open suddenly and for you all to get killed. Go to open slots in the transports and wait for them to commence departure.”

The clones moved slowly to the ships lined along the edge of the shelf. Soon they transports were slowly moving down towards the floor. Count Dooku in his lone ship suddenly opened the doors as the transports moved away. His eyes were full of rage at the defeat of the army. He leaped from his ship and landing on one of the transports nearby drew his lightsaber. The pilot raised his arms but the lightsaber cut through the plastic and killed him. With a swift leap Dooku leaped again from the transport to another. There he raised his hand and with a swift yet powerful move used his force and threw the transport into the wall. It crashed and fell to the ground with its plastic all bent and torn. The clones were now on full alert. From all directions men popped out of the hatches in the sides of the ships and opened fire upon the Sith. Dooku dodged the shots recklessly and with several sweeping arcs landed calmly on a passing shelf nearby. He watched the remaining ships go down with rage at his uselessness to defeat them all. As he turned around he realized that he was now stuck on the shelf until rescue could come. This would allow the Emperor time to think over his plan and whether it was smart or not. He shivered at the thought of the Emperor coming to rescue him and what might happen. He slowly shifted into the shadow to await the coming aid.

Chapter 16

“What was that?!?!” screamed Woody aware of the commotion.

“It was that Sith Lord. He was trying to destroy our ships so that we would fail at our escape. Thankfully he was forced to leave the scene due to heave fire. He went onto that ledge up there.”

“Do you think the emperor knows about us taking the ships?”

“He might, I think all the firing will cause some suspicion but lets hope they believe the droids did well and destroyed us. If they believe that they will let us through.”

As the ships went down towards the floor Sarge became more and more aware of some large artillery pieces positioned to the right of the shelves. These overlooked the entire room although a more careful look would have detected a small zone they were unable to pierce.

Sarge turned towards Woody to comment about the pieces when suddenly from above a voice rang through the ships.

“Attention Clones. Yes, we know you are in there. Thanks to my Sith Lord we have been able to realize the danger that you and we are in. But now we must ask you to stop before we open fire. If you just remain still we will talk about a peaceful negotiation. You see, we have your Jedi all locked up here at base. That’s right, we have Anakin. If you would like to see your precious Jedi you must fly to the ground and get out of the ships. Then you must walk single file over to the headquarters where we will transport you back to the doorway. Then you will be forced to get rid of your arms and you may walk back home.”

Sarge thought for a second. “And who is this that we are speaking to?”

“This is the Emperor Palpatine.”

“And you Palpatine promise that Anakin will be let go before we are.”

“I promise on my honor that Anakin will be released and then freed.”

Sarge looked at his men. “Alright, we will remove ourselves from the ship and give our weapons back to you. But we must get home without any injuries or deaths do you understand.”

“Agreed.”

Click…The radio went off. Woody looked at Sarge.

“What was that? You just sold us to Palpatine. If we aren’t killed he will surely put us in prison the minute we release our arms.”

“I know, Palpatine has no honor to bestow. He destroyed it when he revolted against the Alliance. We must never trust anything he does. If we strategically move our ships in a position they won’t be able to fire at we might make a break for it and see about fleeing. Also, if we go low enough we could demand Anakins release before we actually get out of the plane. That way he could escape and be free and then whatever happened to us wouldn’t be too much of consequence.”

“Except for me and Jesse.”

“Yes, you two are the guinea pigs for suicide and death. Will you continue the adventure with me or will you decide to risk your lives with Palpatine.”

Chapter 17

Woody thought about the proposition. On one hand was a possible escape but possible imprisonment and possible death while on the other was the prospect of having to escape through the entire Empire forces.

“We will stick with you and take our chances.”

As Woody spoke Jesse had moved to the window. Looking down she saw the mass of troops waiting for them.

“We will have to keep flying or else they will surround us with troops.”

Sarge rushed to the window and watched as the troops stationed themselves into lines.

“You are right about that. We will have to figure out how to keep ourselves from being captures but also allowing ourselves to rescue our leader Anakin.”
The silence that followed was erie and cold. No one knew exactly how to fly without getting fired upon. But neither did anyone want to try and land. The resulting conflict brought a silence that Woody and Jesse were astonished at. Just three minutes ago there had been the sounds of battle but now as they were so close to freedom there was nothing.

Sarge was the first to come up with a solution.

“We could try to get new ships?”

“What do you mean?” Asked Woody.

“Well,” started Sarge. “There were smaller flyers on the second shelf when we were climbing up. There are also Flak guns but these wouldn’t be too much trouble if they are unmanned. Then we could simply trade out our flying graves with some smaller faster birds. Then everyone could attempt to make their way home by themselves. Instead of staying in a group we could easily
retreat.”

“That sounds great Sarge!” Woody said smiling for the first time since the silence began. “That might just work. But the biggest threat will be other Flak guns posted around the room.”

Jesse open a window near the left side of the transport. “There are flaks all over the place” she said. “They have one group stationed near the desk by the north window. Then they have flak stationed near the bed in the east side. The west side is all clear but since that is the direction we are going towards it will only get heavier from the other sides as we go.”

Good, said Sarge. Then we will have to fly southeast towards the second shelf. Evade any shots that come from that shelf and steal those flyers. Then we will all stay low to the ground and flying at top speed make our way directly west so to stay out of range of most of the flak. Then we will easily get away and make our way home. As Sarge finished he walked towards the front of the ship. Although there was no way to go straight to the pilot due to the great wall in the way Sarge called him on the walkie-talkie. “Johny?”

Johny from the pilot seat answered; “Yes Sarge?”

“Slow the decent down to centimeters per second we must take the most of our time and let the droids below get ready for the attack. We are going to dodge the assualt below by going to the second shelf in the closet. Once we are there we are going to ditch the ships and take to smaller craft. Then we will all fly our way home. Do you understand?”

“Yes Sir.”

Sarge then turned towards the center of the ship. “Everyone stay quiet. I am going to try and get the emperor back on the line and talk to him. We must make sure that Anakin is released before we make our move.”

Sarge opening his palm began transmitting his hologram to anyone in range. Soon the emperor showed on the other line. His robes were the same as he always wore.

“Greetings Prisoners of War. What do you wish to speak about now?”

Sarge replied to the emperor; “we want you to release Anakin before we give ourselves in. My troop is willing to die so long as Anakin is saved.”

The hologram of the Emperor turned around thinking then came back to the screen. “Agreed” The emperor said. “We shall release Anakin from our hands immediately.”

Woody stepped forward into the hologram and before Sarge could push him out said;

“What about Mr. Potato Head. We must have his release as well.”

The emperor showing no signs of surprise at seeing Woody in the screen smoothly replied. “Mr. Potato Head no longer requests release. He has consented to the Dark Side.”

Chapter 18

The screen went black as the emperor left the line. Woody starred in amazement at Sarge as the realization finally struck him.

“He switched sides?”

“Impossible!” replied a clone nearby. “He barely even knows the situation.”
Sarge pondered the news for a minute before responding. “I don’t think he accepted any kind of offer from the Emperor unless he had a personal struggle with you Woody. He obviously was either mind washed or was forced to surrender and comply with their wishes. My best guess is that Palpatine has no more Sith’s to lead his ever shrinking number of droids and Mr. Potato Head was a Sith in waiting. He must have decided to steal him either way.”

“Do you think he’s still on our side?” asked Jesse.

“Yes,” replied Sarge. “If anything he is just being forced to comply with the Emperor. At least, lets hope that is the case.”

As the group settled back into their seats the pilot Johny called in;
“Sarge we are approaching the second shelf. There seems to be a small group of droids scattered about but they are only there for repairing some of the larger vehicles we mettled with. If we could sneak up on them we might overpower them and take the smaller undamaged planes.”

Good work John, that is perfect. Now I want you to wait for my signal. Right when I give it I want you to dodge straight for the ledge.

Emperor Palpatine was in a mess. His “captive” Anakin was being hurriedly sent away so that the other real :captives” would give themselves up. As he watched the approaching ships he couldn’t help but think about how easy it would be to just simply attempt to fly through his flack towards the door. If the ships were built securely they would easily take some damage before falling and this could easily allow those ships to reach safety before they could be brought down. As he thought about this a high command droid approached him.

“Emperor, the ships have reduced speed and are coming slower.”

Palpatine thought about this. “Don’t worry,” He finally said. “They are just making sure that their “BELOVED ANAKIN” gets home safe. Keep them on the scanners and position some troops on that second ledge just in case they try to stop at the nearest refreshment station.”

Sarge had just decided on the precise spot to land when he spotted the arriving troops. Two columns of droids were vaguely seen coming up a wool ladder on the left side of the closet. Sarge quickly calculated the speed verses the angle.

“JOHN, NOW!!!”

“Right, lets go!”

Chapter 19

The pilots all began to turn the ships towards the shelf. The clones in the transports held on to small cloth handles on the roof of the compartments as the ships began to sway. Slowly they went nearly sideways, streaking towards the open shelves to their right.

Watching from below Palpatine instantly noticed the change in course.
Temper flaring he turned around to the nearest command droid.

“Get me the mini-flyers! Tell them to take off and get ready to attack!”

The droid turned to Palpatine; “Emperor, the Mini-flyers are on the second shelf. The prisoners are on the exact shelf.”

“And what are the mini-flyers doing there?”

“Count Dooku positioned them there for protection from invasion.”

“Auuugh!!” Palpatine smashed his hand down on a nearby command computer. “Doookkuuu!!!”

Sarge got out of the ships just as 7 repair droids noticed the incoming ships.

“Run!!” screamed the droids.

Chew Chew!! Two shots from Sarge’s blaster took down two of them. Soon the repair droids were like scared rabbits running from dogs. As soon as they would round a corner and approach one of the flyers a clone would “find” them. Soon the entire shelf was clean of repair droids.

Sarge commanding a certain amount of clones instantly directed them to cover the entrance to the shelf by a small ladder near the edge. As he and the troops approached the ladder a small metal sound could be heard.

“Quickly, we must stop the reinforcements!”

The clones stationed themselves at intervals away from the ladder while three clones moved closer. Two of them drew out small knives while the other carried a machine blaster. With a sudden movement the clones instantly looked over the ladder, began to cut at the cords, and fired with the blaster into the oncoming droids.

Emperor Palpatine was furious. Not only were his prisoners getting away, destroying his facilities, and wreaking havoc, but Anakin was gone, his mini-flyers were being taken, and he had no real human support left. As he gazed at the men on the shelf bravely defending against the droid on pour a scanner nearby started going off.

The droid at the computer turned to face him; “Emperor?”

“What is it?” the light fury in Palpatines voice unraveled the droid.

“Ummm…our scanners pick up a force approaching our courters. It seems to
be a large clone division.”

Palpatine now completely humiliated, upset, and furious simply turned around and walked out of the room saying to the droid; “Take over for me, I’m leaving.”
The droid looked at his partner nearby. “Hmm…I wonder why he is so upset?”

“Beats me?” said the partner.

Palpatine was furious indeed and had decided that when things got really out of hand the best way to let go was to get charged in the sith and to also go someplace alone. That was exactly what he was doing. He slipped into his personal speedster and taking in as much speed as possible directed his ship towards the corner of the room. There in the corner was a droid hidden entrance guarded by the best battle droids the Empire had to offer. The droids straightened to attention as Palpatine arrived. Palpatine slowly got out of his ship and looking back over his shoulder one more time exited the room.

Chapter 20

Sarge and the three clones were working hard on the ladder. The droids were nearly top the top when Sarge let out of yell!

“Got it!”

The leading droid looking up to see what the Clone had yelled about saw his to his dismay the leading clone holding the ladder ropes in his hands.

“Oh, droid!” the poor robot said as he was hurled with his compadres to the ground.

As Sarge and his men turned around Woody and Jesse called from the flyers;

“They’re up and ready!”

“Good” said Sarge to his men. “Let us get out of here”

The clones quickly leaped into the flyers and setting the course for the door they slowly began to rise into the air.

Sarge looked over at Woody and Jesse who were on a small ground flyer. Their ship was small and lightweight allowing for both of them to have two people on it. The other toys were in other larger flyers piloted by Clones. As the entire group rose almost simultaneous Sarge called over the radio;

“Now for freedom!”

O me garsh this thread is so old…hey maybe i could complete this story just to say its done…

anyway here is a chapter i forgot to post like 6 months ago…LOL

Chapter 21

Flak erupted form all over the room as the small flyers quickly began to leave the ledge and fly towards the door. They had made excellent progress when from the lead Sarge was heard over the radio;

“I see something! There seems to be a large group of clones heading this way. If they aren’t careful they will run right into the Droid facility. We have to get down there and warn them.”

Meanwhile down below the group of clones led by Buzz had just seen the flyers.

“Halt!” yelled Buzz. “Prepare for invasion!”

The clones scattered into defensive positions as the flyers slowly descended down. Buzz with his arm raised advanced just as the planes touched the ground. Laser ready he pointed at the first flyer. The hatch opened and to the surprise of the entire group Woody leaped out to them!

“Woody?”

“Buzz! Oh thank goodness!”

“Woody how did you get these?”

“Its a long story buzz but right now we have to get out of here. The Alliance base is just over that ridge of books and we have to get away before they send ou…”

“Look!” Sarge said just as Woody finished his sentence. As the group turned to look a line of droids slowly marched over the first part of the ridge towards
them.

“Clankers!” exclaimed Sarge. The group instantly took cover as the front droids opened fire. The clones quickly returned fire while Buzz began to unleash Hell upon the back with his laser fire. The droids began to falter under the immense combined firepower of the clones but just when it seemed as though the good guys should prevail a large mass of Super droids appeared over the ridge.

Fall back! yelled Sarge. The clones line slowly retraced as the Battle droids continued their monotonously slow advance forward. As the clones opened fire the battle droids began to target not the clones but the flyers.

“Quick,” yelled Woody. “Get those flyers in the air and put them behind the corner in the wall over there. Then if we have too we can retreat and flee from there.”

Eight Clones quickly leaped up and scurrying over to the flyers. As Woody watched one Clone the flyer he was entering was hit by a laser cannon and with a loud BOOOOMMMMM!!! Exploded right before his eyes. Covering his face with his hands Woody looked up to see only a large crater remaining. A large object dropped close by to his right hand with a “clank”! It was the machine gun from the clone that had been in the flyer. Enraged at the death Woody quickly grabbed the machine gun and turning it towards the droids opened fire. With a rage he killed two of them before the rest quickly launched themselves into the air. Circling the group they launched several grenades that happening to find a group of Clones. Woody, Sarge and Buzz quickly began to fire into the air sending two of the three crashing to the group lifeless. The last of the droids quickly turned tail and retreated to base. Woody Buzz and Sarge stood up from their positions. Three of the flyers were destroyed two of them by bullet fire and the other by cannon. Twenty of their thirty odd men were gone. As woody looked around at the massive destruction that had just happened in the blink of an eye he was shocked. In one area was a small crater where a grenade went off leaving plastic pieces of Clones lying everywhere. Over in another part were dozens of droid pieces while yet in another was a larger crater where once was a flyer and a clone. Clutching his machine gun close to his body that was covered in dust Woody could literally feel his sense leaving him from the destruction that he had witnessed. Sarge noted his rage and quietly placing his arm on Woody’s shoulder said;

“It had to happen, there is nothing you can do. Let’s go home and try to get a plan to stop this kind of warfare shall we?”

Woody looked into the plastic white mask of the clone and nodded his head. Slowly the group of tired, exhausted, and grieving men retreated to their ships and flew home.

I don’t remember it sounding so good before…maybe its because of withdrawl.
