Trailer Music

an interesting note, when I saw the clip for Wall*E at Comicon, music and sounds played a big part in the over all feel of the scene. I expect a very VERY good soundtrack for the film…

and I shall be buying said soundtrack.

As will I. With very little human dialog, the music will have to play a very big part in this film, and it will.

I expect WALL-E’s soundtrack to be one of Pixar’s best, if not the best!

You’re both very right. With such a lack of dialogue, emotions and thoughts will have to be conveyed in other ways, so not only will the soundtrack be amazing, but the expression on the characters’ faces will definitely be the most advanced yet, as well as their body language.

Googly-Bear - I also agree on this matter. The score will, more than likely, play a very integral part in the film, so the soundtrack will probably end up being most spectacular.

I think this movie will be one of Pixar’s best.

sheesh, I’m starting to sound as giddy as Mitch was when the Ratatouille preview came out.

I have to agree with again!

2008 can’t come soon enough

I love the music for the teaser. The first half is delicate, with little touches of past Pixar films added to the background, The second half is when the real Wall.E trailer really kicks in, IMO. It was very unexpected when I first saw the trailer because it sounded more like a Michael Giacchino soundtrack, than the spacey theme I was expecting, but it suited the trailer and made the film seem really fun.

Does anyone have the song? I can’t seem to find the soundtrack in stores. Thanks in advance.

You can find the soundtack on iTunes. Just do a search for “Brazil, Kamen” and it’ll pop right up. The track you want is the first one, Central Services / The Office. You may want to skip the Central Services part, the first 19 seconds or so, as The Office is the part used in the trailer.

As far as the music for the first part of the original teaser, it’s definitely a piece by Thomas Newman; I’d bet my life on that. It could possibly be from A Series of Unfortunate Events.

UPDATE: Well I was right about about the music in the first half of the teaser being by Thomas Newman, but wrong in my assumption in what film it was possibly from. The title of the piece is Sydney Harbor from the soundtrack to Oscar and Lucinda
