Chapter 15 - Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good
Flight
~ After a long while, they have finally made it back home. Santa went on his way to go to every other house and help Amelia. The boys went to sleep. At last Christmas Mourning came. Some present’s were under the tree, the milk and cookies were gone and the stalking had stuff in it. It also snowed. It hasn’t snowed on Christmas their in a while. So far, everything was all right.~
Carl- Good Mourning Russell, Merry Christmas.
Russell- Merry Christmas Mr. Fredricken.
Carl- Made you some cinnamon rolls for breakfast.
Russell- All right!
~ As he ate the cinnamon rolls, Carl looked outside, The Spirit was their, he went outside, but he saw no elves. All the dog’s including Alpha were sleeping. He let them run around the yard. He then went back inside. ~
Carl- What a couple of weeks, huh Russell.
Russell- Yeah, we also almost died again.
Carl- Yeah, I didn’t like that part.
Russell- Me too.
Carl- Your mom should be home soon, so let’s wait.
~ They waited a while, They watched A Christmas Story on T.V. After a while, Russell’s mom finally got home. ~
Karen- I’m home!
Russell- Mom~
~ They hugged each other. ~
Karen- I missed you sweety, I’m so sorry I’m late. Traffic was just… Unbelievable, you wouldn’t believe it.
Carl- Try us.
Karen- So was Russell good while I was gone.
Carl- He was so good that Santa will say it.
Karen- Great. While he’ in the bathroom I’ll bring in the present’s… Where did those come from.
Carl- Uh…. Me and Russell got them.
Karen- That’s so generous of you Carl, thank you.
Carl- You’re welcome.
~ She went out to get the present’s and put them under the tree and candy and stuff in the stocking. She then ate some cinnamon rolls. After that they turned on the news~
Reporter- Happy Holidays everyone and welcome to Channel 5 News Live. We hope you’re enjoying you’re holiday where every you are. We know one person is. She spent over 70 years in the North Pole. Now she has returned. She was the most famous female pilot of her time. America, we are talking about Amelia Earhart. Amelia is alive today, and doing well, She is now with family. She is spending with great nephews, niches, and cousins. She couldn’t be more happy. She say’s it’s a dream come true. She want’s to thank her new friends Carl, Russell, and Santa and Mrs. Claus for helping her. She wish’s she came back years ago so she could see the family and friends she knew and loved. This is truly a Christmas miracle. This is Jessie West, now to Mr. Marlin Fisher with the weather.
~ Karen looked amazed. ~
Karen- I don’t believe it. It’s a miracle.
~ Carl smiled knowing the big man did what he wanted him to do. ~
Carl- Yeah it is.
Karen- But what did she mean by “Carl” and “Russell”?
Carl- Just a coincidence.
Karen- It better be.
~ They looked outside, they then saw all the dogs were having fun. They were chasing robot squirrels. All of them including Dug were having the time if their lives. Carl knew they were from Santa. ~
Karen- Since they got their’s how about we open ours.
Carl- Sure.
Karen- It’s time to open gift’s Russell!
Russell- Cool!
~ They started to open a few present’s. It’s seem’s everyone got something for everyone. ~
Russell- All right. Ben 10 Season 1 DVD! Cool! A Pixar short’s collection DVD! Yes! Legos!
Carl- A digital picture frame, thank you Karen, here’s yours.
Karen- A New printer. Thank you. My old one has been lackey lately.
Carl- You’re welcome
Russell- Here mom, this is for you.
Karen- Is this a clay model of are house?
Russell- Yep and here’s Me, You, Mr. Fredricken, and Dug. I made it in my spare time.
Karen- Thank toy Russell, that is very sweet.
Russell- Thanks Mom.
Carl- Hey Dug!
~ He came charging in.~
Dug- Yes master!
~ He then held up a bag of balls and Dug couldn’t believe it. He then threw them outside. ~
Carl- Go get them boy! Before the other’s do!
Dug- Ball! Ball! Ball!
~ All the dog’s were chasing them. The phone then rang. ~
Karen- Hello, yes, he’s here. Okay, Carl, it’s for you. ~
~ He confusedly took it. ~
Carl- Hello.
~ It was Amelia.~
Amelia- Hello Carl.
Carl- Amelia, is that really you?
Amelia- Yes. It is.
Carl- I’m happy you found a family. You need one…everyone does.
Amelia- Yes, they do. I want to thank you for that. If toy never convinced me to come, well, I would still be in the North Pole. You did a really nice thing for me. Thank you for that.
Carl- You’re welcome.
Amelia- Maybe You, Me, and Russell can see each other soon. I already miss you guys, along with Santa and the gang.
Carl- Same here.
Amelia- Maybe we can go to Easter Island and find the Easter Bunny. Hehe.
Carl- Haha, maybe.
Amelia- Well, I should go. I hope toy see you guys soon.
Carl- Me too.
Amelia- Bye.
Carl- Bye.
~ They got off. Carl was happy to hear she was happy, and that they could see each other again. Everyone was having a nice Christmas, Carl then sat down. ~
Karen- What should we do now?
Russell- Something fun.
Karen- Like what!
Russell- A snowball fight! What do you think Mr. Fredricksen?
Carl- Well…
~ Then the doorknob moved. Someone was trying to get in. The gang wondered who it was, They were getting ready to fight, the door then opened and they came on. Karen gasped and put her hand on her mouth. Russell was standing their in shock. Carl didn’t know who it was. ~
Karen- It can’t be.
Russell- ……Da… Da… Dad?
Harold- Karen. Russell. I missed you two. Merry Christmas.
~ Russell ran over to him and hugged him. Karen then bgan to cry tears of happiness. They were all hugging.
Russell- I missed you Dad.
Harold- I missed you too Russell.
Karen- I can’t believe it. You’re home. I love you so much.
Harold- I love you to Karen.
Karen- We thought you weren’t coming.
Harold- I never want to leave you guys on Christmas again. Never. You guys mean to much to me.
Karen- Me too.
Russell- Me three.
Harold- I love you two.
~ They were sill hugging. ~
Harold- You must be Carl. I’m Harold, nice to meet you Sir.
Carl- Nice you meet you too.
~ They shook hands. ~
Harold- I can see you opened you’re present’s…. And ate breakfast WITHOUT ME?
Russell- Yes…
Harold- Carl’s dogs seemed to have done so too.
Russell- Were sorry dad, we know you like tradition.
Harold- And that I get no present’s at all!
Russell- We didn’t know you were coming.
Harold- I see.
~ He then looked at them.
Harold- Then I got one thing to say.
~ He walked over to them. ~
Harold- It’s time for…… A snowball fight!
Russell- What?
Harold- You heard me.
Russell- Really?
Harold- Of course. Unless you’re chicken!
Russell- No Way! Game on! Come on Mom!
Karen- Hehehe. I’m coming!
Russell- Best Christmas EVER!
~ Carl stood their happy. This turned out to be a perfect Christmas. ~
Harold- You coming old man?
Carl- Wouldn’t wish it for the world.
~ Just as they went outside, Carl, Russell, and Dug outside, they saw Santa. Even though he was done. He waved to them. !
Santa- Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night!
~ They all had a snowball fight in the backyard along with the dogs. It was the best snowball fight ever. It was the best Christmas any of them had. The only thing missing was Ellie. Christmas miracles do happen, even to those who don’t need one. It was Christmas miracle to remember, and a Christmas miracle that would be in their’s hearts forever. It was not about present’s or candy, but about Family, Friends and the birth of Jesus. But they all knew that now, including Harold. It was a Christmas they never forgot.~
