Upcoming Pixar Predictions (on References)

I see a TI2 coming after a few years. But I don’t see MI2 coming anytime soon.

Star Swordsman, I have a very difficult question for you: [spoil]Remember C2 and TS3?[/spoil] After all, Pixar has a way of making great sequels and will probably continue to do so… :stuck_out_tongue: No offense or anything.

You may be right on that Soue but some movies such as ABL, or FN were so perfect in their finish that a sequel would be instantly suspected as “just for the money”. I would love to see TI2, C2, and TS3…two of which are coming out.

Anyone wanna talk about John Carter of Mars?

No. Period. A movie about gods in space is the last thing I want to spend my seven bucks on… no offense.

WBoon, can’t you be nice for once? I mean seriously, JCOM could possibly be a good film. I mean have you even read the book? :arrow_right: [spoil]Sorry If I’m Being Mean Now. I just Want To Get My Posts Up For The PP Awards.[/spoil]

Oh, you think I’m mean now, you’ve seen nothing yet, dude. I haven’t gone blowing volcano on you, yet, dude, and you don’t want this mountain to erupt, jerk.

That’s it, i’m never going to see this stupid movie.

These guys are ill informed and have issues concerning John Carter of Mars.

wboon - “No. Period. A movie about gods in space is the last thing I want to spend my seven bucks on… no offense.”

“Gods in space” ( is that like pigs in space ? )That’s hysterical. I heard Jesus was on Venus one time.

If you want to talk John Carter of Mars, drop over to imdb.com/title/tt0401729/board

Yeah, well, if I was ill-informed, you can thank the guy who started the JCoM thread in this site; his information is the thing that led me to thinking this is a spin-off of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.

Oh, and you can thank soue1313 for his cheerful attitude, too, that condemn this movie from my interest.

Oh come on, no comment about Pigs in Space ?

I thought it was so good I posted it over on the John Carter Movie site.

That would probably be me who first posted on the John Carter movie. Not that anything was said about Hercules. Maybe you didn’t read carefully enough.

Look man, I have no idea what you’re mouthing off on, but when mythology meets science fiction, that’s just plain weird. Why can’t Pixar do movies like they did two years ago (before ‘rat-faced-touille’ shows up) is beyond me.

Meh, I didn’t read carefully?! I’ve got it; it was you, Blazey. I read your thread and there were, what, gods and stuff in there. I mean, affiliating gods with mars, my god. What is Pixar coming to?

And the thing about Heracles was just an expression, genius.

What mythology ? I mean all cultures have it. In the book The Gods of Mars ( the second book ) John Carter crosses swords with a group that was enslaving and dominating others and hiding behind a wall of 'we’re gods, don’t mess with us." They were pirates actually. They also like gladiatoral games. This all made them less than desirable neighbors.

Which is why it’s so boring. Now that you’ve brought up this plot, I take my words back; this is more like Planet of The Apes.

And I’m not even talking about the new aged SFX blockbuster version.

I don’t want to have another space flick and meet another bunch of sentient aliens with some sorts of views, man; seeing the conflicting human race is enough of a species for me.

You claim of enslavement, domination of pirates liking gladiatorial games. Meh, that sounds like they’re just another bunch of villains, man, nothing deep and nothing I haven’t seen before. Isn’t Pixar supposed to improve their movies as time goes on? Well, they can start off with this shallow book that looks like an '80s version of WWF.

Okay, guys, let’s just calm things down. WBoon, at the moment, aside from the actual books themselves, we have no idea as to what the final John Carter of Mars film(s) are going to be like. We have no material from Pixar, nothing to base our opinions on yet. Pixar haven’t changed the way they make movies- their latest films are still as popular, financially successful and critically well-recieved as their older stuff.

All I’m saying is, we don’t know what it’s like yet. At all. Pixar might stick rigidly to the original books, or they might change almost everything. We don’t know. I hated the idea of The Incredibles from the start. I don’t find the superhero genre appealing at all, and I don’t like action movies, but after giving it a chance, The Incredibles became one of my favourite films ever.

I don’t want to get into an argument, but generally (and this isn’t directed only at you, WBoon) it’d be good to base our opinions on hard fact. We haven’t really got any proper concept art or anything yet, so perhaps it would be best to wait until we have more of an idea of what the final thing is actually going to be like.

You’re such a putz. This is the scource material for EVERTHING, Flash Gorden, Superman, Planet of the Apes, Star Wars - since it was written in 1911.

It’s gonna rock, and I’m going to be there, and I’ll be having more fun than you, whatever you’re doing.

You’re missing my point, lizardgirl. It might be popular, it might have pulled a good stunt on the ticket prices, but I, never at any moment, liked Ratatouille or WALL-E, with my disinterest on the latter being obvious.

Oh, I was going to give it a chance alright, but some people just have to go and judge about my attitude towards this. I can tell you that I was very cool about this brand new movie to start with. I mean, it’s a Pixar live action film, which Pixar fan wouldn’t be excited? Then that soue-guy had to go ‘You’re acting like a jerk’ on me. Not direct quote, I know, but I’m just saying.

I might give this film one more chance, I don’t know. It was just the ‘godsofmars’ link posted by Blaze that really freaked me.

Oh and I hope you have fun, Blazey, because your kinda of attitude is going to get my type of people shoving **** up your [censored]! Had to go and wreck my day, won’t you. Unbelievable.

And Superman’s backstory sucked! I hated his space-orphan story! I only liked him because he’s a superhero. I was never a big fan of space heroes like the Silver Surfer as well.

Wait, so, you’re saying that you’re not keen on this film not because of its premise (which, hey, if I’m honest, I’m not one hundred percent on either), but because another member insulted you?

Also, please remember whilst posting that there could be kids browsing on these boards. Posts of that sort of nature really aren’t appropriate, as I’m sure any Mod will tell you soon.

I’m going to stay out of this from here on, but I’m pretty sure you know my opinion on the matter, either way.

Man, didn’t you read what I wrote, girl? I said I would probably give it one more chance, as long as Captain A-hole there stops bothering me with his pompous attitude.

And hey, what happened to your glorious American freedom of speech? My censoring of words isn’t good enough for you? My god. The kids need to toughen up, man. They don’t need to end up being sissy self-centered crappots like Blaze over there.

I’m not American. And to be honest, no, it isn’t. Please, just calm down. You’re not helping yourself or anyone else here.

Meh, I’m cool; I was never heated up to start with, just having the need to look out for ourselves nowadays with erm, particular characters running around the Internet.
