Video Games

Well, it’s a video game, so there HAS to be some strategy-based ones. Some of us like to sit there and think about our next moves. It all depends on the person’s playing style. I, for example, am not interested at all in racing games or FPS, but maybe it’s because racing to too fast-paced for me or I just suck at shooting games.

Don’t worry. Practice makes perfect!

I’m kinda old school, but here they are,

PS1 & 2 ,
Original Crash Bandicoot! Favorite game ever.
Grand Turismo 3
Test Drive
Test Drive off-road

N64
Mario Kart
Super Smash Bros.

XBox
4X4 Evo 2

Wii and Gamecube
Mario Party games
Sonic Adventure DX
Sonic Adventure 2
Super smash Bros. Brawl

I just got an xBox Live account. Add me if you want.

So this is currently the “Fave vidja games thread”? Here in no order.

Grim Fandango
Doom
Civilization 2
Metroid 2 and Super
Bioshock
Half Life (whole series plus Portal. It is Half Life canon)
Sam and Max Hit the Road
Zelda: Ocarina and Majora’s mask
Goldeneye
Roller Coaster Tycoon

I would add World of Warcraft… but I stopped playing as it is a far too addicting waste of time.

you play civ 2?!?!?!?!

That is so outdated!!!
The new Civ 4 is so updated and so 3-D. Its sweet.

I have Wrath of the LIch King installed, so guess that’s out of the way.

Wii Music

Um, guess that’s it, heh. Kingdom Hearts III would be sweet if it were out though.

I love the game Stuntman Ignition. You get to be a profesional stuntman in movies. It’s totally awsome!

So many things wrong with that… Actually I played the original Civilization far more then any of the sequels, so replace #2 with that on my list.

I play Audio Surf aswell. I am typing This with handwriting recognition software and a pen!

is it just easier??

cuz i played 2 for about 1/2 year then 3 for about 1 year and now 4 for about 1 1/2 years.

They just keep getting better and better for me…i love the cottages and the great buildings and the religions they added for 4.

My current favorite, “Mirror’s Edge.” (EA games)

It’s a first-person game, and it’s very similar to Portal (my previous favorite).

The similarities? Hmm… you don’t really have to use weapons, both games have no HUD, you either have to knock down or run away from whatever that’s shooting at you, both games have a female lead character, and both games have err… a neat and white environment?

Anyway, the difference is that, instead of making portals so that you can escape the mad computer or turrets, you must smash through windows, climb pipes, run on the wall, and jump across skyscrapers to escape guys with guns. Well, it’s looks a bit like The Matrix and a bit like a ninja game.

That actually sounds like a really cool game, Killler123. It’s nice to have a change from the usual shoot-'em-ups.

Speaking of a change from the usual, I’ve been playing Little Big Planet for the PS3 lately, and it’s one of the sweetest and most inventive games ever! It looks beautiful and I love the customisable side of things. Plus, with Stephen Fry as the commentator throughout, you can’t really go wrong.

Anyone remember Super Mario 64? That totally equals my childhood. That’s been my favorite video game all my life. Although here’s the more recent games I own.
-Super Smash Bros. Brawl
-Super Mario Galaxy
-Super Mario Sunshine
-Super Mario 64 DS
-Animal Crossing City Folk

Actually, my two younger brothers JUST bought Mario 64 for Wii with a WiiPoints card or something like that, and they basically won’t turn it off. :unamused:

Yayy for Mario Galaxy/Sunshine and Animal Crossing!! LOVE those games!! I can basically beat Sunshine in a day if no one bothers me.

But yeah, I remember when I was like 6 they had a 64 console set up @ the mall, and I used to play Mario 64 on it until it was time to leave. Those were the days… <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/love2.gif” alt=“:loves:” title="In

My sister and I got a Wii recently, along with Super Smash Bothers Brawl (which we have been playing obsessively) and Super Mario Galaxy. And this is our first Nintendo system besides Game Boys.

I still remember watching kids play the original Super smash Brothers after school, and I had basically no skill. I didn’t even know how to get up from grabbing a platform :unamused: But somehow, I’m now equal with my game-loving little sister, even though she kept beating me on our N64 emulator.

It’s nice to know I’m good at a non-RPG video game.

Best video games of all time:
-MOTHER 3
-Mega Man 9
-Banjo Tooie
-Super Mario Bros. 3

I’m going old-school and playing my Majora’s Mask again. :sunglasses:

I’m considering bringing my N64 with me to Disney.

Just got a new game…Civilization 4; Colonization

It is super fun…we are really into it.

I recently played Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII on my brother’s PSp, but I didn’t do all the mission. At first I just wanted to experience the main story and I love it. But I cried at the ending, that was so sad

And I will get a Wii this weekend dances
