Anyone try out Kid Icarus yet? It takes a little getting used to, but I think it’s one of the most original Nintendo games in the past few years. I like it a lot more than I thought I would.

Been playing alot of different games recently, such as several GTA games, Saints Row 2 & 3 and some classic WWE Smackdown and Tony Hawk games.

I’ve been playing Amnesia: The Dark Descent for the past several hours. Despite watching two Let’s Plays of it in the past, much of it (puzzle-wise) has left my mind. :laughing: The design of the game is occasionally frustrating but it is intriguing.

If you have a decent PC, you can get it on Steam. And trust me, it’s worth every penny.

I’m currently 15 chapters in… it’s great so far. I’ve been using the thumb strap that came with the original DS for the controls, and it works great. The dialogue is corny but lovable :laughing:

This is actually a common misconception. Rare only owns Conker and Banjo and related characters, everything from Donkey Kong is still Nintendo’s, even Kremlings. K. Rool and his henchmen appeared in DK: Barrel Blast and Mario Super Sluggers, both made after the buyout. Kremlings not appearing in DKC Returns was only because they thought the Tikis would be cool as enemies instead.

I still love Nintendo. They’re like the only ones that still make colourful adventure/platform games… Nowadays nearly everything is grey and brown and blah! Where’s the colour! Ack!

Lately I’ve been replaying Pokémon Platinum. Cool little game, and I love my shiny Luxray. :smiley:

Conker hasen’t had his own game in years. If you don’t count the remake, he hasen’t had a game since 2001.

So much truth! Nintendo hasn’t turned edgy or gritty in recent years, which I really like. They’re still very much the same Nintendo they’ve always been, in a good way.

And I am crossing my fingers for a new Banjo game on the 3DS still personally… 8D Y’know, it’d be AWESOME if Twelve Tales Conker found its way on the 3DS. I mean, a ROM of the game has to exist somewhere still, right?? I’d love to see it completed and finally released. It’d look great on the system too. :smiley: I almost want to email Rare about the possibility…

I can’t think of any at the top of my head, actually. VC’s selection is pretty good given the limitations.

I read a Gamecube VC will be on the Wii U. Not sure aboout the rest.
