Wall-E gets release date!!!!!!!!!

I see. i guess I just have been a little

impatient.

your not being impatient, you should see the Batman On

Film forums… it’s a complete riot there O.O

anways…

so… Petitelapin, can

you tell us what Wall-E looks like? or at least his main color scheme? or are you sworn to secrecy?

The Star Swordsman - Oh no

– you’re not impatient at all. There are thousands of people out there who are much more impatient than us, as

Googly-Bear mentioned. :stuck_out_tongue:

If WALLE is about

aliens, I wonder how Pixar will be able to tackle that barrier? They will have two things in their way:

 1. So many sci-fi films have been done, that Pixar will have to be careful about what they include if

WALLE’s setting is in outer space.

 1. A whole battalion of special effects will block their path: the

composition of solar systems, universal phenomenons, etc.

I’m sure they’ll have no trouble designing

the look of the thing and the characters, but will they be able to figure out how to create those kinds of

settings and “material”?

Why, Mitch! you have forgotten!

this is Pixar!! they were able to make a world of monsters and cars… this will be a breeze for them.

But wait, Lifted is

abou an alien. It couldn’t be about that. We’ll just have to wait until

Ratatouille comes out, and view the teaser trailer for

Wall-E .

Googly-Bear - Heheh – true that. However, their computers have to blow sometime,

right? (snigger) I’m so pessimistic today. :stuck_out_tongue:

Nah – you’re right. This is

Pixar we’re talking about, as you said, and they have already tackled hair/fur, various weather conditions

(snow, rain, etc.), clothes, water, and numerous textures. I guess there’s no reason for me to think that they

can fail now – heheh.

Bill - Perhaps Lifted

was partly made to get us “hyped up” for WALLE? If Lifted is a short about

an alien, maybe WALLE will carry the same premise? Just a thought…

I knew

that it is about space.

Mitch- Mind-blowing special

effects concerning space have been around for years. I have no doubt that Pixar would easily be able to tackle

whatever problems designing space may bring to them. The main problem, though, is not making it look realistic,

as that has been done so many times before- the problem is making it believable yet stylised. Pixar don’t want

to make something like ‘Final Fantasy’, with ‘real’ people and ‘real’ space. For example, the alien we’ve

seen from Lifted is obviously quite cartoony. Therefore, his world and background, including space, will have to

be sort of believable, yet cartoony. Achieving that balance will be difficult.

At the end of the day,

space will be easy for them. It has been done so many times, and in some ocassions, it has been done very, very

successfully, so Pixar can handle it.

lizardgirl - Hmm. Yeah, that’s true. You would think that I would have thought of

that – heh.

Pixar has always been able to maintain a balance between “cartoony” and

“life-like” themes/looks. The design their films and characters in such a way that they are believable,

but they still have that animated feel to them. I don’t really think they’ll have any trouble achieving that

feat, especially after some of the stuff we’ve seen in Lifted.

Lizardgirl: Hey, if it has been done in space before, I

think Pixar can do an even better job at it.

that’s why I hope Wall-E is about space, because not only will Pixar “Pixarfy”

space, but it’ll give plenty of oppurtunities to add Buzz Lightyear camoes

Googly-Bear- I can definitely see that happening! I wonder how they could include

the Pizza Planet Truck in space, though…

Googly-Bear -

Haha – yeah, that would be interesting! They would probably put him in the backround somewhere – have the

camera situated in a spot where you could see Buzz flying around in space.

As for the Pizza Planet truck,

lizardgirl… Well, maybe there could be a space ship shaped like the truck or

something? Or maybe there is a planet in the universe where the truck gets its Pizza’s from (Pizza

Planet truck…)? I dunno. :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe it is about aliens in a space station that has to

do with WALL-E. Once again, another one of my theories.

Boo.

Pheon

here.

I’m glad Wall-E has a release date.

And Archibald – AMAZING Signature!

it finely has a release date and look like

it’s going to be a robot

Uhh, thanks, nightwheel. But, didn’t you see

this?:

Revealed!

:stuck_out_tongue:

~~=oP

According to

animation.woeplog.com/2007/06/04 … -071808uk/ WALL-E will come out in the

UK” on 07/18/08!

That website also says:

“The only actor that is already known for this movie is Fred Willard. However, he doesn’t record

his voice, but he plays himself (as a real person) in the movie. Because of these innovative aspects and the

content of the movie, Wall-E could well be a break-through in the animation scene.”

That’s awesome! Thanks for the

information, JV!

Wow, that’s cool!!! Thanks

JV!!!
