I like the EVE pez! XD I also like the cupcake toppers. Once again, EVE seems to be trigger happy. XD
Anyways, I got a tshirt for a bday present. It’s black and has an icon on of the US movie poster on it. Don’t think it’s official. No clue where it came from. Still luv it and shall wear it to opening day. <3
i’m so upset about that. my mom is taking me to disneyland this week, and we’re hitting the regular Disney Store while she’s here too. she lets me pick out a few things for my birthday, even though i’m all grown up. of course, she’s leaving town on the 13th! i’ll never understand why they can have merch in their store from much older movies, but delay their new films’ merch that are getting so much media on until 2 weeks before the release!
rachel: I know they said not till later in June, but I went over to investigate, and they LIE. The character boutique may not be open yet, but a general search of the site found a bunch of stuff. The plush, unfortunatly, was not one of them, and no adult apparel yet either, but here’s what I did find. Pictures link to the sale pages. I also ran into some of the toys that were mentioned before BTW.
WALL•E Mega Activity Floor Pad & Art Set
Journals (w00t! I’m a writer! I’ve been hoping for these! )
A sleeping bag (It’s like, over 5 foot tall, which means adult PIXAR geeks could probbaly use it too.)
A pillow (and you can have it personalized)
A giant pin
Of course, about a million tshirts, none for the older folks yet. TT TT hugs her iron-on poster WALL-E shirt
Nice investigative work, Netbug009! I am drooling over those t-shirts… Even though they come up on the website as girls’ shirts, the size and designs seem like something catered for an adult. I hope that’s true - I really want the “I WALL•E” shirt, and “AXIOM CREW” shirt. The “My family spent 700 years on the Axiom and all I got was this lousy t-shirt” one is awesome. Yeah, these shirts are way better than the Ratatouille ones…
Sorry for the double post, but I spotted 3 posters at Kmart today for 5 bucks each. One is simply WALL-E with a yellow, track covered design in the background. One is designed to look like an advertisement for WALL-E (the bot, not the movie) by Buy-N-Large. The last is WALL-E and EVE in front of some machinery and stuff. I got the last one. Looks great on my wall. Glad my mom noticed them when she went there.
The local Kmart also had the beach towel. I resisted on that one. I think I have more than enough merch for now. The movie isn’t even out yet after all. XD
I finally made it over to Toys R us on my lunch break today. The idance Wall•E is much smaller than I had expected it to be. I’ll post pictures tonight if anyone wants to see them. I got the $29.99 interact Wall•E who says things like Eve-Vah and I got three $5.99 Wall•E figures. Captain, Eve, Factory New Wall•E.
miafka - Thanks for the article. I expected that franchisees would be more confident in signing up for WALL•E, than with Ratatouille…
martini - Finally! About 90% of that stuff I’d already seen elsewhere, and there really isn’t that much stuff a I expected… hopefully they’ll add more soon. There aren’t even any plushies available on the site. A bit of an anti-climax for the online store opening, if you ask me.
What I’m really annoyed about though, is the lack of ADULTWALL•E t-shirts! I must have seen, like, at least 20 different kids’ t-shirts by now but no adult ones (that I know of), which seems totally unfair - do they really think a girl is going to wear that “AXIOM CREW” t-shirt? Yes, it’s all glittery and stuff which is cute, but that design seems more appropriate for an adult in both men and women’s styles - but without the glitter. They better add some adults’ t-shirts soon or I’m going to be really peed off!
I’m digging that fabric. No, I’m really diggin’ that fabric…
rachel - I hear ya’ on the issue of a lack of adult-sized t-shirts that promote the film (WALL-E). Why the little tikes end up with all of the coolest stuff is beyond me, although it is understandable that this type of thing would seemingly appeal to a younger audience than an “older” set of fans. However, they have to realize (at some point or other) that there are just as many adults who support and love Pixar-related merchandise as children do. Ah well… shakes head
