Okay, this isn’t technically ‘merchandise’, but I didn’t see any point in starting a whole new thread for this tiny tidbit of information.
I noticed today that on Facebook, you can give EVE as a gift! (To those of you who do not use Facebook, a gift is basically a small picture that you can buy someone and it shows up on their page. They usually cost $1, but EVE is free! It’s probably a sort of Pixar promotion for the film release). I just thought that it was pretty awesome, as I haven’t seen any other gifts that are film related yet.
I got my first WALL-E action figure as a present and I positively love him, he looks awsome along with my collection of robots. Best toys made, I am soooooo getting the ULTIMATE Wall-E now.
Auto - According to the Thinkway Toys website, you were meant to be able to get the Auto figure as part of the single action figures release, but I’m not sure if they ending up releasing it or what. I haven’t seen an actual picture of it in the box though, so maybe they scrapped that idea. You can get a little figure (kind of like army men quality, I guess) in the Bag O’ Bots package. Try looking at Toys R Us (which exclusively sells Thinkway Toys merchandise), or emailing someone from TW Toys. Hope that helps.
ATTENTION! Could someone please give a report to how well the merchandise is selling at the Disney Stores (and elsewhere) now that the movie is out? I’m eager to know if the plushies are selling out like I thought they would (and also, I’m worried that they will sell out and by the time we get some plushies here, they’ll be of the skill tester variety and I would have missed my chance to get a proper, good quality Disney one).

Now, this news should make me happy, but it doesn’t. Here are two ladies’ tees apparently being sold at Disney Stores. I don’t like them 'cause they look cheap and like they are trying to look cool, instead of being cool.
Why would they have a picture of WALL•E and then have a 1970s box and writing next to him? WHY?! What has the 1970s got to do with a robot living in the future??? Tell me your reasoning behind this, Disney! And the “I WALL•E” picture looked better on the girls’ shirt I posted a while back - this one looks all shiny and nasty. Nice snot-green colour choice, too. Blergh!
They should have just released an “AXIOM CREW” tee in adult sizes! It’s just a shame how the kids’ shirts look so cool (esp. the girls’ ones) and the ladies’ ones look so cruddy…
(I got those images from eBay, that’s why you can’t see all of the shirts)
i went to Disneyland yesterday, and was completely underwhelmed at their lack of merch. (Not to mention there wasn’t a poster, sign, or ad about WALL-E anywhere in either of the parks - everything was Camp Rock)
they had some toys, all of which have been in toy stores for awhile now. the only things i saw there i hadn’t seen elsewhere is the Transforming plush, plush buddy, and eve plush buddy.
i was dying to spend money, but there was nothing for me to buy. in time, i suppose!
Well about time the started brining out some stuff for the bigger kids! I personally really like the I <3 WALL-E shirt. And the Axoim one is nice. Plus, at 2 for 20 bucks, it’s way cheaper than Zazzle. Still, there’s the WEVE? Or just EVE? Hopefully we’ll get some of those.
I went to my local Disney store yesterday to look for merch. They didn’t seem to have hardly anything, so I asked the lady working there when they were going to start stocking the plushies and such. She said they actually HAD stocked lots of stuff, it just completely flew off the shelves before you could even say “Pixar”. XD I’ll have to go back some other time.
Thank you rachelcakes1985, I never thought of e-mailing them. I have and I’m waiting for the reply.
Also I bought a microbead pillow at K-mart. It has Wall-e on one side and Eve on the other, in that cartoonish style. There was also matching bed sheets but they wern’t the size of my bed.
The Disney Stores have always dropped the ball in decorating their stores to promote Pixar’s films, well, with last year with Ratatouille one of the bigger US stores didn’t decorate their stores at all. There needs to be a bit more communication between Pixar and Disney marketing so there is more of a priority and emphasis on Pixar’s films, methinks. But it’s good to hear that the merch is selling well, I guess.
Hooray! Could you please post a link to it? I’m looking at the website and can only see the “Kids Apparel” section…
The guys’ shirts are pretty neat - way better than the women’s designs, but what else is new? If you are walking down the street and see someone wearing a WALL•E t-shirt, you can give them a knowing wink and nod, safe in the knowledge that you both have an unhealthy obsession with Pixar’s latest film.
I’ll probably end up getting the pink “AXIOM CREW” shirt ('cause all girls love pink, you know), although I’d rather that it was on a white tee, and the price for posting to Australia is almost extortion, but it does get here pretty quick… And I’ll just order the BNL logo tee from the Buy N Large online store, so at least I’ll get out of it with two wearable WALL•E tees.
Maximum: If you want the poster and don’t care about the frame, I’m pretty sure that’s one of the posters I saw at Kmart for 5 bucks.
I bought Love At First Beep and the Junior Novelization today. Love them both. Wanted to snag the golden book too. Almost did. The artwork for them is just so PRETTY.
Hey guys! I’ve been reading the junior novelization all day. It’s not gonna replace the movie (See the movie first. WALL-E was meant to be animated, pure and simple) , but if you have seen the movie, this makes a great companion to it. Reading it made me notice a lot of things I didn’t when watching the film. I somehow appreciate it even more than I already did, and I’m not even at the halfway mark of the book yet. It’s nicely detailed and keeps the great humor and it just a great book. Plus, it’;s gonna help me survive after the movie leaves theaters as I wait for the DVDs. I gotta relive my fav moments somehow.
A few bits were missing [spoil](What? No M-O rushing everybody off when WALL-E and EVE had their moment?)[/spoil], and a few parts were a tiny bit different. (Novelizations tend to be started on before the final movie is complete, so minor differences often occur) but I’m totally glad I bought this. Only 5 bucks too.
