Wall Of Prayer

The parents of a family in my neighborhood died in a car crash last night. They had four daughters, only one of which was not in the car with them. One of the girls has a broken leg, though they all survived. The oldest is 14, the youngest I think 2.

The girls will be living with their aunt or grandparents. I pray they can start a new life after this traumatizing experience. They were Catholic, so I’m sure they will be granted entrance into heaven.

Rac_Rules: That’s so tragic! :frowning: I will surely pray for that family. It must be frightening…I hope they’ll be okay healing and starting a new life…

Could y’all pray for my school? About half the students are gone right now due to the flu (NOT H1N1, thankfully). It might seem small, but I don’t like to see my friends sick.

Also, coul you guys pray for my family? We’ve been going through a pretty difficult time with my younger sister, and though it appears that the worst of it has blown over, prayer would still be appreciated.

Haystack: I’ll keep your requests in mind for my next prayers, too. May God keep anything in your situation from getting worse.

Goodness, BBD, you pray for everybody! Your nightly prayers must take hours!

Not that that’s a bad thing, it actually good. But still!

No, actually, Rac_Rules, they’re quicker than you would expect. Not to say that I rush prayers, 'cause I don’t. They’re just not that time-consuming.

Ok, here’s a little inspirational story, and it’s TRUE. It was on the news at some point.

Someone comes in and threatens the teller, because he’s about to rob the bank. The teller is scared and doesn’t know what to do. If she gives in, it wouldn’t be right. But if she refuses, the trouble would go furthur. She suddenly, out of panic, kneels down to pray to God for guidance. She doesn’t hide or anything, just starts praying. Then, the bank robber asks if she can pray for him too. Turns out, the bank robber was pressured into stealing because he is poor, jobless, and lives with a two-year old son and is desperate. By asking God for help, the teller just prevented a bank robbery and also probably made things better.

I’ll be praying for your request Rac-Rules…i’m certain that the tragic death of a parent is a horrible nightmare to some…i pray that God may send peace and comfort into their lives and that you may be a source of comfort to them just as much as others will be.

Haystack i pray that your school will heal quickly…and i also thank god that you didn’t receive the H1N1 version…hope you didn’t get the sickness as well.

Hey guys, could you also pray for me…i think the schedule is easing up and i might be able to come here more often but since i’m now on facebook and working with my dad the time is running by faster then ever…just pray that i get my priorities straight and begin thinking more clearly about futuristic advantages and not present pleasures…such as games.

Rac_Rules: That is so tragic. I will definitely keep them in my prayers. I can’t even imagine what they are going through. May God grant them comfort and strength during this tragic time.

Haystack: Your school and family are also in my prayers. May God heal your friends quickly and get your family through this difficult time.

Al-Bob: I will keep you in my prayers as well. May God grant you focus on things more advantageous than games.

Hey all just wondering if you could keep my grandmother in your prayers. She’s been in the hospital for a week recoverign form surgery. She’s very, very slwoly getting a little better, but she’s nto out of the woods, yet, so any prayers owuld be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I will be praying for her DocKenobi. I have a grandma who has likewise had surgery and the recovery is very slow but it will heal if left alone.

lord_zedd: That’s terrible! I know, I’m writing a late response…are they alright now? I’ll pray for that, too!

a little late, but i like to tell you my family is okay, there have been little earthkaques and the people is leaving caracas.

did you know what scares me? a women predicted this in the beggining of the year, and you know what els she predicted? that something REALLY BAD was going to happend to the world at the end of the year

Al bob and Doc kenobi: dont worry, thats normal, she will be great in a few weeks, youl see, il pray for you

lord_zedd: Great that they’re ok. Hope things get better, too.
That is scary. But I don’t believe the end of the world (if that’s what the woman meant) is this soon. To quote Jiminy Cricket from Fun and Fancy Free: “What’s gonna be is gonna be; the ‘end of the world’ has been coming since 1903- B.C., that is.”

DocKenobi: I’ll pray for her. May God help the healing go faster but just as steady.

Could you guys pray for me, too, please? I’ve been facing a LOT of stress lately and still will for the next week. Adding to that stress is video production, a class I used to think I would enjoy. I have the worst, most uncooperative team (they joke to each other a lot but don’t listen to me when I want us to focus), and I’m slow in editing since we’re using a more advanced program than I’m used to. We’re really behind, and I just want to get my job done before time’s up, and I’m afraid of failing after all that hard work. Some of the footage we recorded was lost and recorded over, and I just realized that yesterday, which means we’re even more behind than I thought. We cant’ refilm everything because it could take my team a whole period just to do one scene at one camera angle.
So, yeah, I’m afraid of not making it in time. May God give me the strength, energy, quick-thinking mind, and confidence to finish the job so that though the video will not be great, it won’t be a complete failure.

I’ll be praying for ya BDD…what program are you using??

Hey! Let’s pray for Haiti!

Africa, as well as for my dad to stop drinking and go to church

Incredigirl-I will be praying for both of those requests…we have a high school girl who has something of the same problem. She had an atheist dad who over time and due to the influence she had on his life he began to warm to the idea of believing in a God…not to put it lightly but he has begun to change…once he was completely adament that there was no God but something about the way his daughter lived has made him change…

Just some encouragement for you…

Aaaw, thanks.

Will you pray for my friend Krystin? She lives with us because her dad and stepmom don’t want her, and she had to go to the hospital for high blood sugar the other day : /

praying…could you guys keep me in prayer too…i had three biopsies done today to check for bad moles on my back…my grandfather and greatgrandfather had precancerous moles so i’m praying that i don’t get some now at such a young age…

Ouch, I hope you don’'t too. I’ll pray for you!!
