Was there a short that this picture was from?
I think it may have been from one of the many Toy Story easter eggs on the DVD.
emergencyexit42, where did you get that picture?!
Well, possibly. I couldn’t find it on the DVD though.
I think it’s something like this:
This is a fully rendered image of WALL-E and EVE that doesn’t appear in the actual WALL-E movie.
Yeah, it’s probably just a promo pic, although one of the easter eggs had Woody and Buzz doing something similar, if I’m not mistaken.
That’s the type of trailer that makes us see a movie! BRAVO!
EDIT I posted this another forum. I guess something happened on the Forums. You can delete this post now Mods.
I got that picture form a google image search and i like that picture
Toy Story was sort of based on one of Pixar’s earlier short films, Tin Toy. They went to Disney and proposed to make an hour-long (I think) TV special called A Tin Toy Christmas, which was about Tinny getting lost and meeting a ventriloquist dummy on the way home. Which eventually got changed into a feature film and the story was changed.
That still image may have been taken from the Toy Story Disney Channel TV shorts that were played in the late '90s, if I recall, to coincide with Toy Story 2’s theatre release. They went for less than a minute each and were more like interstitials than anything. You can see those interstitials on the Toy Story DVD by pressing the yellow star in the menus, they’re all over the place. Again, that may be where that image is from, but if I recall Andy didn’t have the Super Nintendo and TV in his room until Toy Story 2. It could also be a promotional image for Toy Story 2.
If so, then I think there must be more promotional images for other Pixar movies too! ![]()
I can’t really find them though… ![]()
Yep. Pixar released a promotional image of Up, of which you can find in that section of the forum. I’m 99% sure that image won’t appear in the movie.
Heheheh, Woody is holding the controller upside down!
Also, I think the blocks in the background spell PIXR.
Nice catches, Pewpewpew5522! Heheh, I love how, even in just a single screenshot of unknown footage, there’s an in-joke.
No idea where the original image is from, though.

HAHA I just looked at that picture again and just noticed that!
Too bad this picture was never animated and I think the blocks are trying to spell out PIXAR
