Over the past hour I’ve been listening to quite a few pieces of music while updating my music library, mostly soundtracks from games and movies no one else has probably heard of. Possible exceptions are:
“StarCraft Main Title” - Derek Duke and Glenn Stafford (guess which game),
“Escape from the Hospital (And T-1000)”* - Brad Fiedel (Terminator 2: Judgment Day),
“Library Suite” - Martin O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori (Halo 1),
Main themes from Tomb Raider I and II,
and one TRUE song: “Absolution” - Gary Numan
*better known as the T-1000 theme, the first half of which featuring the brass fall sound heard in this installment of the Terminator movies onward.
The Beatles’ remastered Revolver album. I’ve played it at least 5 times since I got Wednesday evening. It’s so amazing. The bass is fuller, the voices are clearer, its louder, and the instrumentation is so much more pronounced! It was like hearing it for the first time!
Wow. I gotta say that it’s really weird to see the songs that we use in band being listened too in the real world. We’ve got FounderofAzn listening to Pretty Fly (for a White Guy), TDIT with I Gotta Feeling, and Bill with Any Way You Want It.
I wonder what I’ll see next x)
O Magnum Mysterium - Composer: Tomás Luis de Victoria
Listening to the orchestral/band version compared to the choral version.
And yes, it does so happen to be a Christmas song. Or so I was told atleast.
