What did you dream about last night?

I dreamt I was in a fancy donut shop (which for some reason also had a double cheeseburger dish with a small bun in the middle of the sandwich), and it was standing high up off the ground with a huge lake beside it. There was also a chute, and the label said “Characters”, but for some reason there was a bunch of animals disappearing into the chute whenever they jumped in. There were also several flights of stairs at one point (which sometimes looked like escalators at one point, only they were curved instead of straight), but then it had seemingly turned into a game, with Cars characters involved–I could actually see Lightning McQueen, Finn McMissile, and (yikes!) Chick Hicks. And I could tell because, even though they looked blurry, I could actually see the colors of red, periwinkle, and green. Then I woke up.

Gosh, another recurring dream involving fancy restaurants high up off the ground…

I had a dream that my mom was sitting by the computer, and I was going to take a shower. I turned the radio on in the bathroom, and they played an earlier song by The Eagles, which were more country-like.

Anytime I hear a country or country-like song in real life, I always make fun of it by going “Di di do do” in a silly twangy voice. I did that in the dream, and then I heard my mom all the way by the computer singing the actual song lyrics in a silly twangy voice. I started laughing so hard I couldn’t breathe. 8D

Amy43: I do listen to The Eagles, and the name of the album I have is “Hotel California”.

Cool! I like Hotel California. That’s when they started sounding more rock like and less country like. I liked that change.

Actually, there is a reason behind my having it:

While I was out in California, Mom and I got to go on a bus tour of Los Angeles, Hollywood, Beverly Hills…Anyway, we were told that the building used on the front cover was the Beverly Hills hotel, and we saw that plus the real Hotel California. So after coming home from the Cali trip, I wanted that album! So now I have it.

To be on topic, I’ve been having California-related dreams ever since coming home from that trip. Dare I mention I once had a dream involving the snow that started to fall while I was packing up, and that I had figured it was probably from that image of Disneyland at Christmas-time from the Soarin’ Over California ride? Or the fact that over half of these California-related dreams I’ve had so far always seemed to involve the Golden Gate Bridge? (This must’ve been triggered from the fact that I had visited San Francisco.)

Actually, I’ve also had some Cali-dreams taking place in San Fran (and I could tell because of the bay). I’ve also had quite a few dreams involving Disneyland (though slightly rearranged and sometimes looking different, I can tell because of the Disney stuff). And you know what? Sometimes I have recurring dreams about Maps Being Altered, and once I had dreamt about both Disneyland and San Francisco Bay at the same time!

EDIT: I’ve also once had a dream about visiting Pasadena (though I’ve never actually been there, but I could tell because it said “Pasadena” on the sign). And at one point, I was in a building of some sort, which for some reason had a circular pit holding an indoor campfire. I was also going down the streets, and the dream itself seemed to take place mainly at nighttime. (Although it’s usually daylight in most of my other dreams…)

Last night I had a dream where a flock of chickadees had built a nest on the railing of our front porch.

JSWeC: About that crossover reference in the book thing…I remember a few years back, in the children’s book section of Barnes and Noble, I would go to a back corner, and go flipping through the pages of Pixar-related BOOM! Comics. One of these was called “Laugh Factory”, and there were some cross references there–including an EVE poster in Boo’s room and a WALL-E poster in the boy’s room!

Also, a friend of mine recently told me of a weird dream about bald eagles coming into his room, so then I told him about an eagle’s nest over at the Clearfork Reservoir. I’ve had quite a few dreams in the past about birds coming into my room, actually. In fact, I dreamt about having a pet cardinal once! (Don’t know why I dreamed that…)

I’m guessing it’s because i go bird watching…plus it’s winter over here where I live, so I have to keep the feeders filled. (I actually do feed my backyard birds, really.)

By the way, I’m thinking about drawing my own dream concepts–like, visual interpretations about what goes on within my dreams, kinda like what sort of things usually occur within my dreams.

I had a dream involving my dad’s ski shop, my mom visiting Cathy and Linda (my two aunts from the Carolinas), and me reading a slightly rearranged version of a junior novelization. (This must’ve been triggered from a recent flashback.)

Well, a few years back, I would walk to the library after school, and I always ended up at the children’s books section. Then I found a junior novelization of WALL-E, and I would start flipping through the pages–and I did this repeatedly for quite a while because I would not stop.

Now that is exactly what I was reading in my dream last night! It was, however, slightly rearranged with a different plot…

I dreamt that The Ant Bully had become a TV show, with every section of the film divided into episodes. Then I was shopping in a giant store, looking for shoes. That’s about all I can remember.

Well, I don’t think I’ve dreamt about anything last night–no thanks to last night’s storm in my area plus moving back to my own bed later in the night and then being awakened by my own stomach an hour later.

Last night I had a dream about a walk-through tunnel behind a giant fridge.

I dreamt I had a new Pixar book, where the pages contained every little detail about the characters and how to identify them, and for some reason the pages in the book also contained details explaining how to socialize with them.

Wow, that’s cool! I’m curous to know the instructions for EVE, the Reject-Bots, the sororities at MU, and Randy.

Just the other night, I had a dream which mostly took place in the North Attic. For some reason, there were 3 windows instead of only 2 windows and 2 rocking horses instead of only 1 rocking horse. 2 boys randomly come in, wanting to ride on one of the rocking horses, and I pushed them off. After that, I dreamt I had a new ornament.

From my dream last night, the only thing I remember was having to push the Home button on my iPad 5 times to try and revert it back to iOS 6.

Some other weird dreams I’ve had in the past:

(1) I was staying in a 10-story bed-n-breakfast hotel, and then I’m surrounded by fog, with Carl Fredricksen trying to pass through. Then I’m shopping in a giant store, my twin nieces show up for no apparent reason, and then I look towards the parking lot and I see EVE driving a car.

(2) I was rowing a boat of some sort on a river-like trail, and standing right in the middle of the water was a tall, hut-like building.

(3) For some reason, I was attending a church service, which was next to a gift shop. Then the weather turns stormy, and all the lights go out, so everything was like, pitch black.

(4) One time I had a crazy dream about a claw game in our house.

(5) “Circle of Life” from The Lion King randomly starts playing on the car radio, and at the same there was a sunset (or possibly sunrise) peeking out from the distant horizon.

(6) I was in the Carolinas, and for some reason I could actually see a Disney Parks castle in the distant horizon.

(7) While driving down the highway, I see a sign saying “New York”, but when I pull into the exit ramp, the area itself was actually Orlando, Florida.

(8) One time I found a bunch of birds trapped in cages. Jewel was there, and she was obviously trying to get out.

(9) After escaping a flood that was happening right inside a building, the door had locked, and I was the only one who got out.

(10) Another time I found myself witnessing a flood that appeared to be taking place in some sort of sewer setting, with mice and/or rats trying to escape the flood but are unable to. (possibly some sort of Flushed Away concept?)

(11) I was visiting a Pixar-based museum of some sort while in San Francisco.

(12) I checked the capacity of my 4GB MP3 player, which showed the actual capacity to be 5GB.

(13) For some reason, there was a double cheeseburger dish with a very small bun in the middle of the sandwich, and it was being served in a fancy donut shop which was high up off the ground and standing next to a lake.

(14) One time I was watching a movie, but when the Pixar logo appeared, it was positioned diagonally for some reason. (The letters were still standing straight up–the logo itself was actually turned to a slightly different angle.) Then WALL-E comes out and appears on the screen, and then he accidentally knocks over one of the letters. Next thing I know, he is frantically searching for something within his surroundings, and at the same time I could actually hear him trying to say his name. I think he may have boxed up afterwards.

(15) I was somewhere on a trail, high up in the hills. Next thing I know, I am visiting a cottage of some sort, completely surrounded by fancy, flowery gardens.

(16) One time I was supposed to be headed towards Maine, and for some reason I ended up in Columbus and had to spend a night at one of the hotels there with some family members.

(17) Sometimes I would find myself just west of State Route 13 on Hanley Hill, and I would be walking around the drive-thru where an Arby’s is supposed to be.

(18) Another time I was on the same side of Hanley Hill, only I was more like sledding toward the bottom of the hill where State Route 13 would be.

(19) Someone called himself “Golfie,” and he was frantically going back and forth while saying something like, “Freeze! Freeze! I gotta freeze!”

(20) There was a carousel in the restaurant.

(21) I do not know why, but for some reason I was trying to use a tool chest for a toilet.

(22) Sometimes I find myself in giant bathrooms with double-stalls. (Like, there would be 2 different toilets in one stall!)

(23) There was a whale in the spaceship.

(24) For some reason, I was eating a box of crayons.

(25) One time I was shopping in a giant store, with railroad tracks passing every aisle in the store.

Oh me gosh…

So last night I dreamt I was in my mom’s van, stopped at a traffic light somewhere in Lexington (possibly near the Junior High with the old Red Brick) because there was a traffic jam in the area. Suddenly, I am back in my own driveway, and when I look up at the sky, it was very cloudy, yet there was just a small gap with the stars showing through. Then I find myself going through my Dad’s ski shop and into the house, except I wasn’t even wearing a shirt when it happened. And then I woke up. I do not know why I dreamt that–believe me, it was weird!

I dreamt I was on the front porch, and for some reason there were strange cars pulling in and out of our driveway. Then I found myself in what appeared to be a classroom setting that resembled a lot like my room.

I was also carrying a book, Pixarpedia, but for some reason the Pixar characters were put in different positions, sizes, and poses than what is shown on the original cover. And then both the cover and the pages kept changing with various images that we’re not Pixar-related, but somehow the book size stayed the same.

And then I woke up. Talk about weird!

A couple nights ago I had two dreams involving sequels to The Lego Movie… and a How To Train Your Dragon short appeared on TLM 3… needless to say I was a smidge bummed that those were only dreams!

So yesterday I told Mom about what happens when you enter Rapid Eye Movement–being unable to speak, pulsing in the ears, and the blackness seen turning gray (or lighter) like a form of tiny pixels…

Anyways, I haven’t been able to sleep much (or dream) the last couple of nights, but I do remember a dream I had a long while back: Where a trial was being held at a court, and one of the attorneys was a Luxo lamp dressed up in a judges’ outfit.

I play the trumpet in real life, and last night I dreamed that I was in a band and I somehow had a girl injured so I could play the lead part instead. :open_mouth:

Last night, I had a dream that my mom was watching this low-budget movie on the SyFy channel that was about an evil force that would strike garbage and metal scraps with lightning so that if anyone touched them, it would kill them on contact (a sanitation worker actually touches a lightning rod, and is turned into a green roasted chicken). A family knew about this, and they were afraid, only letting their talking robot puppy (who had a British accent) tell the tale and that they were hopeless. After a food fight scene, however, three of my new characters show up on the TV screen (Michael, James, and George), and they are sent to exterminate the evil force, and it is revealed their their rubber gloves render the killing power in the garbage useless, so they set out to destroy the affected garbage and metal.

Then I woke up. That has to be the weirdest thing ever (I don’t think such a movie even exists).

I dreamed last night about a soccer net and various balls, and what happened was whenever a ball would hit the net, splashes of color would appear on the net. There were also some Disney and Pixar characters there, but all I can remember seeing was the Luxo lamp and Bambi. And the lamp was spinning its head like a disc. Bambi actually managed to show up just before I woke up.
