Me too! I can never remember those pesky chemical equations, especially when it comes to those annoying ‘exception cases’. And Qualitative Analysis was a pain!
I’ve always wanted to be a mermaid.
When I was told that it was impossible, I was devastated and didn’t have a dream at all. Now that I’ve accepted that being a mermaid is not a career that I can succeed in, I want to be an artist. =)
I’ve always loved the arts, and play instruments and draw frequently. (The only thing I wish I could do more is dancing, but…I’m not that graceful) After re-watching Pixar and Disney movies, I’ve fallen in love with animation. I’m not sure if that’s the route I’m going to go into, since I’m pretty shy, and can’t act to save my life, but I defs know I want to do something artsy.
((Psst, I’m 15, so it was around 3 -10 year old that I wanted to be a mermaid))
Let’s see what I can remember.
For the longest time, I wanted to be a detective. I went as one for Halloween AND my church’s fall fest (my little brothers were spies X3 ), and my museum had a crime scene “special exhibit” that my mom took me to. That’s the only one I really remember.
There’s an enormous jump between a writer and a Detective, though. But hey! I can write about a detective !
Haha, I wanted to be a detective too, Esmedes. Then I figured it was safer to stay at home and live our your crime-solving fantasies on the keyboard.
I don’t even remember WHY I wanted to be a detective anyway …or why I changed my mind . There’s a girl in one of my classes who wants to be a detective…she wanted to be a lawyer before that. And in all honesty, I could REALLY imagine that XD ! Teensy little lady with a big attitude that you don’t want to mess with.
I think another thing I wanted to be was a judge, but I only remember telling that to my mom in the old van . And I also wanted to be in politics SQUICK!
Being in politics is cool, Esmedes. Not that I actually want to become a politician, I mean it must be really difficult to make friends when you introduce yourself as a politician.
And being a judge would be quite difficult, I imagine. Making pretty big decisions that will determine people’s lives…It’s a lot of responsibility. Still, the wigs and all that make it worth it I guess!
First a race car driver; then I learned I could die, and opted for being an actor after being cast as Winthrop Paroo in a local production of The Music Man. I still love acting, but I’m not a hundred percent sure if I want to pursue it, screenwriting, or animation.
In middle school, my dream job was an Astronaut. I wanted to go to space so bad!!! I was that dweeb in middle school who loved science.
Other careers I have had in mind since I was 5 until high school
Voice Over
Teacher
Vet
Piolet
Cartoonist
Chef
From the time I was in 4th grade I’ve wanted to be a music teacher and I STILL want to be a music teacher now going into my freshman year of high school!
I’ve always loved music…
When I was little, it shifted to many things, as I think happens to all young children. The list ranged from firefighter to policeman to teacher, etc. When I was 9, I had my sights set on becoming a cartoonist. At age 11, I switched to animation, and I have not looked back since. In a way, I’ve wanted to work in animation since I was 6; my parents took me to Walt Disney World in Florida for Christmas. When we got there, they asked what I wanted to do first. My answer? “I want to go see the place where they make the movies.”
