What have you been doing while waiting anxiously for TS3?

I went to see The Dark Knight twice in theaters. I have a feeling that I will end up watching Toy Story 3 more than that by the end of the summer.

I’ve been busy completing my final assignments… and now that I’ve just finished 'em, I think I’m gonna catch up on the summer movies I missed in cinemas during the study period… Iron Man 2/Robin Hood/Prince of Persia, here I come!

I’ve known this was coming for about a year now. No offence to anybody avoiding spoilers, but personally I looked up every single trailer and sneak peek I could find, I can’t wait for the 18th! I plan on going opening day, no matter what!

I’m sad because we can only see it in a bigger town, and I was going to go see it opening day but sadly it got put off until the 23rd. that’s 5 more days or waiting.

I’ll sound like a stick in the mud posting this, but I too haven’t been doing anything exciting in wait of TS3. For whatever reason I am absolutely not hyped up for this film. I really don’t know why. I feel like I should be, since I freakin’ LOVE the first two, but I just can’t get super excited about it like I was with Ratatouille and WALL•E. I think all the hype for it kinda turned me off, and I too have been avoiding absolutely any spoiler I can manage not to see so I’ll go into the film without any expectations.

Maybe not having any money doesn’t help, since I can’t go out and buy all the fun merchandise and whatnot.

Honestly, though, I feel like so disloyal to Pixar right now. Between absolutely falling head-over-heels in love with How to Train Your Dragon - a Dreamworks film, no less (which I’m surprisingly more excited for the DVD to come out than I am to see TS3… figure that one out…), and not being super-hyped and excited for TS3, it makes me feel like a bit of a jerk.

Not to say I’m not excited at all… I mean, this is Pixar we’re talking about, and the last film in the trilogy of some of my favorite and most cherished childhood films. Who wouldn’t be excited for that?

Just not all hyped up, is all. Come on, seriously. Does that make me a jerk? :frowning:

little chef

I know how you feel! I really want to see it on opening day, but I’m going to New Orleans from the 13th to the 20th, so I have to wait to see it on the 21st! I don’t know how I can wait for three days!!!

I looked up all the trailers and such, but my aim wasn’t to find spoilers. Just plot details that would fill me in a little bit, and new bits that would hold me over until that day comes…

Me? Pfff. All I’ve been doing is desperately watching the trailers then going. “ZOMG I CANT WAIT!!”

Classic me. :-D)

Well I’m planning a marathon of most of the Pixar fims, shorts and other stuff in the days before I’m going to watch the film.

I’ve beening buying toy story stuff like crazy in anticaption such as th blu-rays magazines and a tsc buzz and potato head. <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/youwhaaa.gif” alt=“o_0;;” title="You

Whaaa…" />

Blocking it out of my mind until it’s out, and being continuing life as normal. Being typing in ‘toy story 3’ on google news every now and then too. I don’t think about it every day like i did when it was first announced, or when the first few official trailers came out, because if I just ignore it then it will be one of those ‘here before you know it’ things.

I have watched every sneak peek and trailer I can get my hands on, watched little vids like Mrs. Nebitt Sparta remixes and such. I have made music-videos of my own, and am writing a fanfiction!

Quoted for truth! Well, IMO anyway. I also feel the same. I’m more hyped to celebrate Wall-E’s anniversary (points to sig) then watching the next Toy Story movie. Maybe cos’ I didn’t identify with the first two as much as I did with Dragons or Wall-E. Maybe the buzz (pun unintended) kinda killed my anticipation for it- there’s lots of publicity material everywhere now, and it doesn’t feel as ‘under the radar’ as say Ratatouille or Wall-E. Maybe it’s the fact that Oz is getting it late again and I’m a bit jaded with the staggered releases, so much so that I don’t even realize it’s already creeping up on me.

I am still excited, and I’ll definitely see it in cinemas, but I think I can afford to wait a few days more so I can see it cheaper in 2D. And if it impresses me enough, maybe a second time in “IMAX thu-reee-deee” (Trailer narrator voice).

But for now, I’m busy doing Dragons fanart and making a silly trailer dub for another animated studio’s film…

I put the laptop next to the TV with the VCR, and watched TS1, then TS2, then TS1, then TS2, then TS1, then TS2, then TS1, then TS2, then TS1, until my mom made me shut them off.

I’ve also been reading every scrap of news I can get and counting the days and eating TONS of cereal, for the Toy Story stuff. I have Toy Story cheez-its, fruit snacks, ice cream, cereal, and macaroni and cheese. Oh, and all the Toy Story pez! [

I CAN’T WAIT!!!1

My usual boring wait for Toy Story 3 was spiced up today as, at work, another staff member pointed out that we’re now selling Toy Story 3 rucksacks! Now I’m forcing all the kids to buy one.

And back to the boring waiting game again. :stuck_out_tongue:

The past week I’ve been vacationing/ volunteering as a camp consuler in New Orleans so I’ve still been doing stuff while anxiously waiting for this feature, while y’all have already seen it! Anyway, I would yell “TOY STORY” whenever a Toy Story commerical came on the T.V. or saw an add somewhere in a store or poster when I wasn’t working. My friend also told me a funny story involving “somebody’s poisoned the waterhole” line. Can’t wait to see it tommorrow!
