What new character are you most looking foward to seeing ?

I’ve been laughing for five minutes at that, as well as the idea of Pixar actually including a character literally exactly the same as that in one of their films. That’d be funny. Strange, but funny.

Kyle- Click on the link in thedriveintheatre’s post and you’ll get an idea as to what the character of Huggy Bear was like in its different forms.

I’m gonna say Trixie as I want to see her relationship with Rex. Her little description indicates that she is from the same range as Rex so will be intresting to see his reaction to her.

Ken. He’s God-Tier awesome and Fabulous.
And he’s voiced by freaking Batman!

Of course I can’t wait to see more of Lotso and everyone else… but honestly I’m super curious about Buttercup. Don’t know why, heh

Like Lizardgirl, I voted for Ken, simply because of his hilarious appearance. On top of that, though, Michael Keaton is the man!

I think I’m going to go with Lotso Bear too. He seems to cuddly and fatherly but then kind if sinister too. I wanna know what’s up with him.

He hasn’t exactly been introduced yet, but I’m still totally in love with Mr. Pricklepants. I think he’s the cutest thing ever. Can’t wait to hear more about him

Oh yeah, how could I forget Pricklepants? Timothy Dalton is one of the best Bonds IMO, and I can’t wait to see his thespian character after his appearance in the Lee Unkrich intro video.

oh man… it’s hard to choose. ken scares me. lotso seems like an interesting character. i like stretch… seems like a fun toy to have. haha. i also like the peas. but i don’t know which characters i want to see the most.

I’m most excited about Ken, because he’s the only one of the new toys I ever had, Barbie won’t be alone anymore, and Michael Keaton is doing his voice!!! The real Batman? YES!!! :smiling_imp:

I’m surprised that Mr. Pricklepants wasn’t on that poll. Voiced by a 007 gone Shakespearean, he’s probably the second character I’m most interested in.

For me, however, the character I’m most anticipating to meet is the Purple Haired Doll is. I mean, we at least know a bit about the other characters but we don’t even know what the name of this character is. She kind of looks homemade, which is one of my biggest questions throughout the series (ie “Can homemade toys come to life?”) and I’m really interested to see a character description of her. Plus she’s voiced by Bonnie Hunt!

A homemade toy can come to life because it’s still a toy.

So does that mean that it can come to life before, during or only after the toy is complete? What if it’s not fully completed- like it’s missing a head? At what point does the creation of arts and crafts suddenly spring to life?

When it becomes loved by its owner.

That didn’t work for Prospector

Why do people take this “how the toys come to life” thing too far? The point of the toys coming to life is to show you what happens when their owner is not there.

Same reason why we ask “Why doesn’t Buzz Lightyear interact with the humans?”, “Where are all the humans in Cars?”, “Why are they making a Cars 2?”. Speculation is fun.

Yes it did. Al loved the Prospector because he was part of the Woody’s Roundup set, and as such meant Al would make a profit on selling the whole lot. So the Prospector wasn’t loved as a child would love a toy, but was loved by Al, but for the wrong reasons. That explains it. Same applies to the toys in the shop itself - the store bought the toys from a wholesaler and as such every toy is ‘loved’ in that it’s gonna make Al a profit.

Sid’s toys?

EDIT- Please don’t use quotes within quotes, thanks!

They were loved in the sense that Sid enjoyed messing them up.

Mr. Pricklepants looks interesting. I can already tell who the villains will be.
