Ahhh!! I love it! I love it, I love it, I absolutely, positively love it!!
Heheh. It looks superb, delicate, fresh, and all-around wonderful, Mell! A beautiful job well done, indeed. I agree with FONY in that the style of this particular theme resembles that of a kitchen in some ways. As for me, the texture reminds me of grape jello… (Don’t ask me why…) Heh…
Again, wonderful composition, Mell! I job well done, I say. I am one happy rat!
I just noticed that skin today! I actually noticed when I logged off last night but I thought my computer wasnt working right. I was like “what is all this grayness?” Especially since the Monsters Inc line is still at the bottom. But now I realize that was the Ratatouille skin! It looks good!
Something that struck me about the Ratatouille skin, I think that there isn’t enough contrast between the new-posts and no-new-posts picture (i.e. the rat’s nose and toque). It’s fine on, for example, the Cars skin, since the tire is dark to start with, and so it’s easy to tell when it’s faded for no-new-posts, but what with the toque already being white it’s a little more difficult to tell when it’s faded and when it’s not. It’s just minor, but it is there.
Ah, now I read back and see that I wasn’t the first to mention it. Yeah, if you’ve got one board with new posts next to one with no new posts, it’s fairly easy to tell which is which, but if you don’t have another board to compare it to, it can be difficult to tell.
DElf - Heh – I also noticed that only recently. The difference between the “sharp” toque and its “transparent” counterpart is noticeable, but only just. Hmm…
I must admit, the new layout is going to take a while for me to get used to. I mean, everytime I go to the forums, i always see a Cars layout before I log in. NOw, it will take a while for me to get used to a Ratatouille layout as the first thing I see.
I’m using the Ratatouille skin to replace the Toy Story skin I was using before. I’d use the Incredibles skin regularly, but the dark red of the forum background is hard on my eyes when reading posts.
