WHO IS THIS?

Who are you talking to about the fanfic? Me or red?

red

Which DOES make the picture a picture of Linguini’s mother possible. Once again, good researching JF.

ty, Nexas.

And A113, I doubt you’ll be reading her fanfic for a long time. *
Goes Into Brag Mode* I’ve read it, (Well, what’s been written so far) and it’s AMAZING.

I really am interested in reading it, JF, (especially after reading your comment  ), but I can’t seem to find it. Where may I find it?

I agree. A link would suffice.
It seems your friend hasn’t gotten many reviews "(This is a spoiler for those who haven’t read my fanfic…and probably never will…) ". I have myself not gotten reviews on some effort on my part…so I think she/he will be glad to get reviews from more people.

She has yet to post the fanfic because she isn’t a member of this site yet. I receive it piece by piece every week or so. I’m sure that if she wants it reviewed, she will allow it to happen.

Renata getting killed in front of Linguini? Dude. That’s just a little too much woecake in the kid’s life for me.

To “red”: Dude, you are a genious…

You guys have pretty much thrown out every leaf that could be put into this book as far as I’m concerned, so I’m not going to give much input save what has been commented on/said so far, these being:

Mabel is Linguini’s grandmother - Highly plausible, seeing as she could be Gusteau’s, Renata’s, or even Larousse’s mother.
Mabel is Linguini’s aunt - Also plausible, since Renata or Gusteau could have had a sister. (She may also be Skinner’s sister, as she and Skinner may be closer in age than Gusteau or Renata, though I highly doubt it.)
Mabel is related to Larousse, Gusteau, Renata, or Skinner - Or, what’s even more possible is that she could simply be an acquiantance or admirer of one, the other, or several of these entities.

I like how you also brought up the fact that Larousse, not Skinner, was the one to remember Renata Linguini. Of course, Skinner simply could have forgotten Renata on purpose due to a dislike for her, but, taking into account his facial expressions and preoccupied state at the time, I doubt it.

I tried my best to read all of Renata’s letter to Skinner, as well, but I couldn’t make out much that deals with the subject in question besides this statement: “Gusteau and I were very close…”, to which you must reply, “Well, duh! Gusteau + Renata = Linguini. They must have been close for that to happen…” (snigger)

When I have more time (and brain energy) I should delve into this matter further, because it is a most interesting topic of discussion.

Great deductions, guys! Fantastic speculations.

I’m pretty sure Skinner knew Renata or else he wouldn’t have said, “How is she?”.
If he didn’t know Renata he wouldn’t have even acknowledged the letter, because he is heartless like that.
Just because he forgot or didn’t know she died doesn’t mean they never met.

Mitch didn’t say that. She’s saying that Skinner had forgotten about Renata.

martini833 - Yes, please refer to JesusFreak’s comment for the answer.

Alright, but JSYK I wasn’t putting words into Mitch’s mouth, I was adding my thoughts to her statement.

Personally I think Skinner didn’t so much care about Guesteau’s part much. I mean sure, as an up and coming chef, he cared more about fine food, but as in most business, profit and reputation are required and grasp.
As in the comment Skinner makes about a new Guesteau with “doggy makeup” he does say “please…with diginity”, he does hold respect for Guesteau.

pause
You know it is strange. Skinner did NOT know Linguini was Guesteau’s son…which would mean he, as he seemed so certain on it, that Guesteau and Linguini’s mother didn’t have a…well…lets say…“intament” relationship.
So it’s probably natural Skinner didn’t know anything about Guesteau’s love life, though since the others work in the kitchen and looked up to Guesteau more, they probably had some idea.

Sorry, can you post the picture up again? Maybe it’s just my computer, but it said that the image has been deleted or removed, and I want to see what you’re talking about.

-thanks

It happened on my computer too. I’d like to see the picture again…please.

Sorry guys! I’d erased a bunch of stuff on my Photobucket account, and that image was thrown out. I forgot that it would be deleted here, too. :stuck_out_tongue:

Here’s the image:

I also reposted it at the beginning of the thread.

Hmmm…I think it looks like Jessie, probably because I like to think of what Toy Story in-jokes are in Ratatouille

I think the only resemblance to Jessie would be the hat, which sort of looks like a cowboy hat…It’s probably not a cowboy hat, though. And I don’t think Jessie carries a tommy gun around. (At least, it looks like a tommy gun)

Maybe reference to Toy Story 3?
