Yes Bill YES!!! Sorry folks Syndrome is dead…Deal with it.
Well, they could bring Syndrome back if they wanted to since we don’t actually see him getting torn to shreds, which I’m quite thankful for. Personally, I think he did die - I mean, how could he possibly survive that? If they did bring him back, they had better think up a plausible explanation! Heheh.
Now whether or not they should bring him back from the dead - I wish they wouldn’t because if Pixar chooses to do a sequel they should still respect the characters’ past, but give them new situations and other characters so that they have a chance to grow even further, which will be harder to do if they brought Syndrome back.
It would be as if they are repeating themselves. And from a general audience’s point of view, people would sort of get confused between the first and second one. This is the same general public that gets confused between Dreamworks and Pixar, remember?
But if Brad Bird and Pixar did decided to bring him back, then I trust that they would do a good job of it and it would be good for the story, I just don’t think it will happen if they did do a sequel to The Incredibles in the first place.
Well, they could if they wanted to, but the point is that they don’t want to because it would be way too Disney, IYKWIM.
Here’s something I’ve been wondering about for a while now. Brad wrote the screenplay for the first film as well as directing it. So, if a second film gets green-lit, will Brad write the sequel as well? And if he doesn’t, who will?
I believe he would write it. I don’t see anyone else who can do it just as well as him.
Yea Brad Bird is the only one that could do it right.
I don’t see anyone other than Brad writing and directing a sequel to The Incredibles. He’s the only one who could do it right since he knows the characters more than anyone. Also, I don’t think he would want anybody other than him to do it. Out of respect for Brad, I don’t think anyone from Pixar would even suggest that anybody else do it, either.
You’re right. I think Brad would be perfect for the job, Although over 3/4 of it usually gets changed before the movie comes out.
I doubt 3/4 would be changed. That would be a lot of the script.
Well, for the first couple of years of making Pixar movies, the story is always under revision - some stories are changed drastically and others are relatively the same to the original idea.
Ratatouille was different because the story wasn’t working so they asked Brad to come in pretty late in production, but for the most part as far as I know, the story is pretty much worked out before they seriously start animating it - it would cost to much to change too much of the story too late.
I think that in the case of The Incredibles 2, Brad will not start production until he has a good story going on. He said so himself.
I think I could do a voice-over role in the sequel. Now, there’s not a snowball’s chance of me actually getting that lucky, but maybe I could play Tony’s identical twin or something since my resemblance to him is so uncanny… okay, maybe I’m getting too carried away with this.
Ha ha, I see what you mean bill. You have a decent shot of being Tony’s twin.
But I am with you on this. I too would love to voice a role in a possible TI sequel. In face, I would give up anything for a shot.
Yeah, you mentioned that in your bio, TSS . If I did that specific role though, I don’t know how PV would react. I guess I could do a member of Tony’s family who goes to the dark side. That gives me a very good subplot idea for a second film. Although, I’d have to work at playing a villian, as it were… because I’m such a sweetheart in real life, it would just kill me to play that type of character. Or I could actually have fun doing it, you never know.
I’d love to see a sequel to The Incredibles. If only they would make one.
We can only hope Marie.
For The Incredibles 2, we’re gonna need to pray.
That would help too A113.
Pixar, the world needs another Incredibles movie to save us! But please, no capes! no capes!
oooh! i want an Incredibles 2!!! but…didnt it take Brad Bird like 12 years to write the first one?? =/
I would give anything to have a good TI sequel. It is probably the only Pixar movie that really needs one.
