Woody's origins

Lee says they never found out. Sid’s might’ve, though.

I’ve always thought the army men might be a litle crazy…like how they act so serious to Buzz and Woody, and refer to codes and missions and such, like they’re on one giant mission

Wow. I have never seen that before. I wonder why they have made Woody to be a complete jerk like that. It seems like he has no redeeming qualities and is a tyrant. I wouldnt have been at all sympathetic towards him. I dont think you want an audience hating the main character.

What I never understood (and sorry if this was mentioned) is why Woody doesnt remember who he is or where he came from. He’s a toy that’s close to 50 years old, and he doesnt seem to remember anything before Andy. I like to think he was Andy’s father’s before he was Andy’s too. And it seems logical to think a toy that age would have had a previous owner, but if he did either Woody doesnt remember or he wont talk about it. And I’d love to know why.

Mr Lasseter couldn’t have been more right when he said it was bad. I’m glad they changed Woody’s character, because he was a complete jerk in that like Lennonluvr3 said. The way he threw Buzz out the window, and the way he insulted Slinky was just unforgivable.
