$30-40.
Blu-rays may go down in price, but until then, the higher price is why I’m selective about what I get blu-ray versions of. I have around 15-20 right now.
That’s so ridiculous, but Disney overprices everything.
A while ago, I bought Gone with the Wind on DVD for $20. And a couple months after, I went to the same store and it’s Blu Ray with DVD combo was $15! I should of waited!
That must’ve been annoying^^.
That is a good deal.
Disney films always cost a lot more than any other studio, seemingly. There’s a few blu-rays I want-specifically WALL-E and How To Train Your Dragon-but I’m not sure if it’s worth the cost.
Some of the DVDs/blu-rays Disney releases are quite nice, have multiple discs, and lots of bonus material, so I don’t necessarily mind the price. Now, spending $30 for a movie that doesn’t have many special features is kind of lame, though. Sometimes they have some nice behind the scene stuff, like full-length documentaries on the Aladdin and Lilo and Stitch DVDs. The latter one is a fascinating, 2-hour (!!!) journey of directors Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois.
I once saw a AVGN video where he sais he hated how Full screen/ Wide Screen are not in the same DVD. I agree, what’s the poiny of selling both? Have them both in the same DVD.
Yeah, oh wells nothing I can do about it now!
So in March is the next time I plan to add to my DVD collection. I’m not sure what to get, I’m deciding between The Muppets, Chaplin, and Casablanca.
What would you pick?
I haven’t seen Casablanca yet, so I can’t say for that one. But from the other two I’d get The Muppets, even though I really enjoyed Chaplin.
I made my video for my DVD’s, just go to my video topic on here for the links.
I would get Casablanca. But I love Chaplin too.
For some reason I like those cardboard thing’s that are on some movies. I don’t know what there called.
Do you mean Slipcase^^?
I call them slipcovers. I’m also one of those weirdoes who likes them. For some reason, it just makes them nicer!
Yeah, those are it. I also think they make them look nicer. So when i’m at a atore looking for a DVD, I try to look for one with those on them.
Thanks for the suggestions guys! I like them up on amazon, and I’ll probably get both, because they’re both pretty cheap, if I get the Casablanca snap case. I don’t mind getting a snap case for that movie.
They are pretty nice.
I lost the one I had to Cars.
I use to have a full screen edition of The Incredibles. But then my brother took a bath with it. And, I cut up the slip cover because I wanted the picture. Yes, I was even weirder than I am now. I did get another DVD though. A Wide screen one, with no cover.
