I have a bookshelf and I keep My DVDs in two cardboard boxes on top of my shelf, with my Toy Story toy collection (I don’t have many, only 6) beside.

I use to have mine stacked up all nice like on my desk. However, when I got my Buster Keaton DVD set, it’s 11 DVD box set pushed it over the edge. So now I have a shelf just for the DVDs.

Oh dear… I have many, but mostly animated. My movies aren’t even part of a family collection, either.

I’ll just post a link to my collection instead of writing a long, long list.

I organize my DVDs/blu-rays like so ('ed if I put the category in chronological order): French, Italian, other foreign, Chinese (also Taiwanese and Cantonese), Korean, Japanese live-action, American live-action, Disney animated cannon stuff, miscellaneous Disney*, Pixar*, Studio Ghibli*, Don Bluth*, Dreamworks*, Laika*, Blue Sky*, miscellaneous animation, and TV series. It’s taken me several years to reach well over 300 DVDs, but I’d like to have even more… not a whole lot of Hollywood stuff, actually, but mainly animated, Asian, and some television. At some point I’d like to own every full-length animated film that’s had a wide theatrical release in America. My wishlist on DVDAF has around 40 of them… not sure how many others there are. There are some stinkers in my list that I’d almost be embarrassed to own, but I want them anyway.

My folks have an awful taste in movies. Mum likes sappy romcoms, stepdad likes martial arts and action flicks with more style than substance :wink:

I like the mission impossible series, the films themselves have been done in a right and entertaining way, imo

I wish I could watch the new installment on a 70mm IMAX screen, it’s said that there is gonna be a Prologue to The Dark Knight Rises attached to Ghost Protocol only on those types of screens
