Your DVD/VHS Collection

All

DVD’s, but I haven’t the Monsters Inc 2-Disc SE, which makes me feel terrible…

You definetly wanna get that one, it’s one of Pixar’s DVD’s with the most special

features.

It’s wierd. I have it,

but I have never seen it.

I’m so behind on

my Pixar dvds… because I only got into Pixar around time of Finding Nemo. And I’m kinda frugal and you know how

Disney movies are, they never go on sale. I only have Finding Nemo and The Incredibles on dvd. I have Toy Story

on VHS but that’s cause my uncle bought it for me when I was like 4.

I

have:

VHS:

 • Toy Story 2
 • Toy Story (recorded from TV)
 • A Bug’s Life (recorded from

TV)

DVD:

 • Toy Story (10th anniversary edition)
 • Toy Story 2 (also anniversary edition)

Monsters Inc. (recorded from TV) I forgot about this one
and I’m buying Cars the

second it hits the stores!!!

This is

all i have.

vhs:
Toy Story 2

Toy Story

a bugs life

dvd:

Toy Story 10th Anniversary Edition

Toy Story 2 2-disc DVD special edition

Finding Nemo

2-disc collector’s edition

The Incredibles 2-disc collector’s edition

Monsters, Inc. 2-disc

collector’s edition

people

find it crazy that I have both full and wide versions.

I dont have any on VHS but on

DVD i have:

Toy Story (2 Dsic)
Toy Story 2 (2 Disc)
Bug’s Life (1 Disc)
Monster’s Inc. (1

Disc)
Incredibles (2 Disc)
Finding Nemo (2 Disc)

And as soon as I got the last one all the shops had

to start a special 2 Pixar DVDs for the price of one! BAH! curses…

TSS- Is it actually true that the widescreen version actually cuts out some of the

picture?

No - it’s the full screen that does.

Dash- Oh, right, so it’s generally better to get the widescreen,

then?

not always…

I know with some

movies they just put black over the movie image to make it look like a letterbox…

It depends what the

original resolution was: if it was made in widescreen then the full screen version will be cut off and if was

made in full screen then the widescreen version will be the cut off one.

Some films have been arranged so

you get the full picture in full screen, Disney made a widescreen and fullscreen version of Lady and the tramp

for theaters in 1955. Pixar also makes sure that everything is the shot in fullscreen as they appear in wide

screen, only more close together.

My Pixar movie collection:

VHS
Toy Story
A Bug’s

Life

DVD
Toy Story: 10th Anniversary Edition
A Bugs life: Collectors Edition
Toy Story 2: 2-disc

DVD Special Edition
Monsters, Inc. 2-disc Collector’s Edition (R1-US version)

The Incredibles 2-disc

Widescreen Edition

I am looking forward to pick up Cars on Tuesday.

I am on the look out for the

seeming rare Toy Story: The Ultimate Toy Box.

Whew okay here we

go:

Dvds:

Toy Story
Bugs Life
Toy Story 2
Monsters Inc
Finding

Nemo
Incredibles
Cars
Toy Story 10th Anniv. (actually given to me by pixar)
Toy Story Ultimate Toy

Box

VHS

Toy Story
Bugs Life
Toy Story 2
Toy Story in Japanese

All films

nowadays are made in Widescreen format… which is what you watch in the theaters. It is essentially exactly as

the director made it and how it is intended to be viewed. Full Screen is often cropped strategically to show you

as much as they can but often times the composition is not what the director intended or you dont get all of the

information you are supposed to be getting in the shot.

I currently have all of these on DVD:

Toy Story

A Bug’s Life

Toy Story 2

Monsters, Inc.

Finding Nemo

The Incredibles

Cars

Geri’s Game

For the Birds

Mike’s New Car

Knick Knack (bla bla bla )

Jack-Jack Attack

Boundin’

Mater and the Ghostlight

One Man Band

Not quite that impressive.

Toy Story VHS

Monsters Inc. DVD

A Bug’s Life DVD

Finding Nemo DVD

The Incredibles DVD (widescreen)

In about that order…I may have bought Finding Nemo before Monsters Inc. and A Bug’s Life but I doubt it. I know the two former were bought in that order and at almost the same time. I haven’t gotten Toy Story 2 or Cars yet but I might soon. Also in just over a month my collection will include

Ratatouille DVD (English widescreen)

Remy no oishi resutoran (hopefuly widescreen)

The Japanese Ratatouille dub I might not have until around Christmas though, I’ll probably order it throungh a Japanese book store (cursed allergies that keep me from getting on a plane and just buying it in a store) it depends on wether they order it to come in on the release date or order it on the release date, and if they can order it at all. If not I know a good website.

Good timing though, I live in Canada but my school is in New Zealand. So I’m homeschooled and both versions come out right before my two month break

My pixar collection:

Toy story-2 disc
Monster Inc-two disc
Toy Story 2-2 disc
Finding Nemo- 2 disc
The incredibles-2 disc
Cars-Fullscreen

I will pick up Bug’s Life when i get the money and Ratauille when it comes out on dvd.

Actually now that I have successfully gotten all the Pixar movies on DVD, I got rid of all my VHS

I am just the oppisite of you lennonluvr. I still have VHSs’of most of the Pixar movies, though I still have all of the Pixar DVDS

I dont have room to keep them. DVDs take up a lot less space. Plus once I got the DVDs I never touched the VHS so there was no point in me keeping them. I gave them to my mom so she could give them to the school she teaches at. So I guess the kiddies there are using them.
