Your Pixar Movies Classification

What about The Incredibles? And BTW, Up is not horrible.

Let him. Some times I wonder if you just joined to say Up is terrible, L_o_F.

This statement is associating you with the movie though.

It’'s getting really difficult to rank all of the movies, so I’m going to reorganize my list into general tiers:

Top tier (in no particular order):
-Up
-Ratatouille
-The Incredibles
-Toy Story 2

Middle tier (in no particular order):
-Monsters, Inc.
-Toy Story
-Toy Story 3
-WALL•E

Lower tier (in no particular order):
-A Bug’s Life
-Finding Nemo
-Cars
-Cars 2

My list, and i am writing a blog post explain these choices.

  1. A Bug’s Life

  2. Cars/Cars 2

  3. Ratatiille

  4. Up

  5. WALL-E

  6. Toy Story 2

  7. Toy Story

  8. Monsters Inc

  9. Toy Story 3

  10. Finding Nemo

  11. The Incredibles

Ever since The Inredibles has been associated with Up in that blog post about why Cars 2 was Rated “G,” I have lost just about anay appreciation I had for The Incredibles, or any Pixar film where humans are the center stage. Ratatouille has humans but Remy is the focal point, so that one is fine.

If I were to have ranked it, it would have been above A Bug’s Life, I suppose…I did like watching it when it came out on DVD, but I have only seen it once and it is going to STAY that way.

No, I joined these forums because I was upset when I found out Newt was cancelled. The only thing I ever cared about The Bear and the Bow was the title, and they changed that, so now I have no interest in it.

That’s an odd response to me saying that I don’t want to associate the number “eleven” with Up.

Well, you did by singling out every movie but Up, and corresponding it with the number 11.

That’s a bit of an odd reason to suddenly dislike a film…
You seem to dismiss films very easily. Like, you haven’t seen WALL-E but you already dislike it, and that because A Bug’s Life isn’t as good as Toy Story (and hey, I’m a huge ABL fan but I agree with you) it makes it a terrible film, and because The incredibles is associated with Up, that makes it a terrible film too. Just seems a bit weird of motivations
I understand that you were upset about Newt, but who knows, maybe we will see it again! And I guess the thing to remember is that this is a Pixar discussion site, so constantly bashing a single Pixar film isn’t going to come across too well. I’m sure you’re a lovely person L_o_F, but sometimes your actions come across as infuriating, just saying.

Sadly, I agree with those points.

I don’t have problems with disagreeing opinions, but overly and constant negativity is a bit tiring.

As definedancing said, you should dismiss things so easily, but rather when you have strong points that justify your opinion, specially taking your username in consideration. If you are a lover of fiction, you should hold good films in a more appreciative place.

I also don’t understand how one can dismiss a film, just because its name title changed. Like that makes absolutely no sense!

Or because another movie before or after it is not your cup of tea.

Bryko: Do you like Cars 2 better than Cars? Just cuirious, since Dr. Z is your avatar.

It’s summer and you know what that means! Classification update time!

And I say this with love for every film and trouble picking any other than my fav and least fav:

  1. WALL-E
    2 TIED. Cars/Cars 2
  2. Toy Story 3
  3. Finding Nemo
  4. Bug’s Life
  5. Up
  6. Toy Story
  7. Monsters Inc
  8. Ratatouille
  9. Toy Story 2
  10. The Incredibles

Idk if I’ll regret giving Cars 2 such a high place of honor later. As it is I wrestled with my inner critic to keep it out of slot #6. Critical enjoyment and how much fun you had aren’t always the same thing. I almost feel like I should have a “critical” list and a “how much I smiled at everything” list.

That’s my personal motto! You are wise! 8D

I probably need 2 lists, as well. My favorites list is terrible. 8D

I don’t think I’ve done this yet, so here goes!

  1. Up
  2. Toy Story 3
  3. Ratatouille
  4. Toy Story
  5. Wall-E
  6. Finding Nemo
  7. The Incredibles
  8. Toy Story 2
  9. Cars
  10. A Bug’s Life
  11. Cars 2

Wow, this was really hard. I moved them all around so much. I love them all dearly, this was too hard to do!

Evangeline, I think you forgot Monsters, Inc.! :astonished:

Yeah, this is definitely too hard to decide, I could spend hours moving around Pixar titles and still not come to a definite decision! So I’m going to use Bryko’s idea of splitting up the films into three tiers, where all the movies within the same tier being more or less equal, and only the tiers are ordered on preference. The films are alphabetically ordered within each tier, not ordered upon preference.

Tier 1 Films:
(Enjoyed these the most)

  1. Cars
  2. Cars 2
    3 Finding Nemo
  3. Toy Story 3
  4. WALL-E

Tier 2 Films:

  1. Ratatouille
  2. The Incredibles
  3. Toy Story 2
  4. Up

Tier 3 Films: (Enjoyed the least)

  1. A Bug’s Life
  2. Monsters, Inc.
  3. Toy Story

I think the interesting thing is, you could take any member’s list on here, completely invert it, and it can very well be someone else’s list! It just goes to show that there’s a Pixar film for everyone, and they are all more or less really, really awesome.

Time to redo my list.

  1. THe Incredibles
  2. Toy Story 3
  3. Ratatouille
  4. Finding Nemo
  5. Cars 2
  6. Toy Story 2
  7. Cars
  8. Toy Story
  9. A Bug’s Life
  10. Monsters Inc
  11. Up
  12. WALLE

1.Toy Story
2.Finding Nemo
3.Toy Story 2
4.Wall-E
5.Ratatouille
6.Toy Story 3
7.The Incredibles
8.Monsters Inc
9.Up
10.A Bugs life
11.Cars

I have yet to see Cars 2.

Great lists! Raceandanimationfan, after you see Cars 2, be sure to let us know how you like it!

I’m gonna use Bryko’s and Ding’s method. The movies within each group are always changing depending on what I last watched, but here’s what it’s like right now…

Group 1:
-Cars

Group 2:
-Up
-Toy Story 3

Group 3:
-Wall-E
-The Incredibles
-Monster’s Inc

Group 4:
-Toy Story
-A Bug’s Life

Group 5:
-Ratatouille
-Toy Story 2
-Finding Nemo

I have yet to see Cars 2 and of course Brave hasn’t come out yet, but I’m thinking Brave may end up taking over Cars’ No. 1 slot. :open_mouth: 8D
