It’s alright if you had Wall-E low on your list. I think it was pretty low on mine as well. I’m just kind of baffled to see Toy Story 3 ranked kind of low.
TS3 is in my bottom half as well. Way below Cars 2. Don’t kill me.
Trust me, I won’t. I mean, were all entitled to our own opinions but I thought that TS3 was one of Pixar’s best films.
Oh, I realize it’s very good. I would never argue with that.
Toy Story 3 is second on my list and WALLE is on the bottom.
Wall-E is very high on my list. Can’t give an exact number without calculating it though.
Did you like it enough to say that it’s on the top half of your list?
Wall-E? I’m pretty sure so. I don’t know for sure. I like all of them, even Finding Nemo. I just have preferences, like anyone. I don’t not love any of them.
I have Wall-E among the middle of the pack of Pixar films. I liked how in the first 30-45 minutes of the film it was silent.
WALL-E is on the bottom of my list simply because I loved the other pIxar films better. NOt that I hate WALLE.
Yes. It really shows you how great characters and feelings can save a movie. Besides, I’d rather see a big movie with little dialogue than a little movie with a big script.
I like WALL-E, don’t get me wrong, the first act is mind-blowing and shows just what animation as an art form is capable of. But, it lost me as soon as WALL-E and Eve go aboard the Axiom. But, that’s just my opinion.
And yes, Cars is at the top of my list. To be perfectly honest, I didn’t rank the films based on their quality (but, of course, that did have something to do with it) but on how much I actually enjoy myself while watching them. If a film is a masterpiece, but you don’t enjoy watching it, then what’s the point? I enjoy Cars the most, so therefore, it’s at the top
With TS3, it was very hit-and-miss for me due to various different things. So, I decided to put it somewhere in the middle.
I’m actually surprised I put ‘A Bug’s Life’ so low on my list. I used to be obsessed with that film as a kid…
I love your list, Grace! This is great.
I’ve probably redone mine over and over and over again, so I’m not even gonna bother posting a new one till after I rewatch Cars 2 to spare you all.
Also, I’m really sorry to hear that, IV. Makes me unhappy how people freak out over us liking things that are supposedly “kiddish”. It’s a very immature attitude that I wish would stop.
I think alot of us can agree that A Bug’s Life is probably Pixar’s weakest film.
I think Cars has that distinction.
Well, not really.
I also disagree. A Bug’s Life is definitely the studio’s weakest film. Cars is often considered the studio’s worst, but I don’t agree.
Yeah, although I had Cars really low on my list I didn’t think it was Pixar’s worst.
I would keep the claim.
A Bug’s Life may be the less liked in this board (I would even doubt that in the forums as a whole, as a lot of members have admitted that Cars is), but being the less liked doesn’t make it the weakest. As Effluvium said previously, lists here are based in personal tastes and not necesarilly quality.
I think, objectively speaking, we’ve reached (numerous times) the conclusion that the Cars films are the weakest.
I guess you make a good point SoA. Films should be based on personal views and not the quality of them.
