A player lol. To my knowledge a father is never mentioned so I suppose its make up ur own idea.
This has been discussed since the release of Toy Story, but never before have I heard that theory… By that logic, you’re saying Andy’s dad is Mr. Phillips, the man sleeping on the chair in Toy Story.
While Pixar leaves it fairly open to interpretation, I believe that his dad died prior to Toy Story. Woody is said to be a “hand me down” and an “old family toy” I think that he belonged to Andy’s father before being passed down to Andy.
Another popular idea is the divorce theory, but there isn’t too much evidence to support that. Especially with Toy Story 3; what kind of father wouldn’t show up to his son’s graduation?

I think he passed away as well. A lot of Disney movies have that same theme one parent dies.
