Why was the Monsters Inc. Blu-Ray really delayed?

I was just wondering why was it really delayed? could this maybe lead to a sequel announcement?

According to the last update I’ve read, it was stated that the release of the Monsters, Inc. Blu-ray was delayed until November to coincide with the theatrical release of Up.

I’m kind of confused, Why would it coincide with Up?

Both are directed by Pete Docter. It’s pretty obvious reason.

But Up is being released in theatres in May, not November. I think pitbulllady must have meant the DVD release, maybe…?
