With the death of Paul Newman who is doing the voice of Doc?
Ah, that’s a question I’ve wanted to know the second I saw that Paul Newman was dead in the news section of my homepage. I honestly have no clue at the moment. Someone told me they found a replacement, but they forgot who.
No-one knows at the moment, though there’s a possibility that the character of Doc just won’t be included in the sequel, which would be a shame. But we’re just going to have to wait and see, I guess.
If they get rid of Doc, I’m gonna be angry! Trust me!
Mayber they’ll just put him in with flashbacks to explain why he’s not there without him saying anything?
The folks at Pixar are kinda creative, I’m sure they’ll find a work-a-round.
Yeah I’m pretty sure they would. But Doc’s not the only character that they have to figure something out with. What about Filmore? George Carlin passed away too!
Well, yeah, but that’s not a fair comparison. Doc was a key supporting character in the film, whereas Filmore only had about half-a-dozen lines and is therefore expendable. No ‘Cars’ sequel can be successful without Doc, but you can totally get away with not including Filmore.
