The Star Swordsman - What's next? I'm taking requests! Name what you like and I'll draw it for ya', as long as it is not Pixar-related. ;)

-------------

Note: I am now taking requests! If anyone would like a hand-drawn image of a specific, non-Pixar character, please alert me so as I can sketch out that character for you.

You're welcome, Mitch. Well, it's the first time you've drawn that animal so naturally you'd make mistakes. But that's how we learn, don't we? ;)

Ohhh, requests... *racks brain* I can't think of anything that isn't Pixar...

Perspective Drawing -- Room

I need critique! Have any helpful hints, tips, and/or suggestions on improving a perspective drawing that I completed? Any comments/critique would be most appreciated! Thank you.

----------

The Star Swordsman - Ha-ha. I'd love to tackle that character! Thanks for the suggestion. I'll draw her soon.

rachel - Yep, that's how we learn, indeed.

Nah, don't worry about it. I already had one suggestion flung out at me so I'm good, but if you ever think of any others then I'd be glad to take on the challenge. ;)

I've been getting into Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends lately, so could you have a go at drawing Bloo, please? <3 (He's my fav).

Uh, so you want a bit of perspective on that perspective, huh? Heh. ;)

I think overall the perspective of the room is good, but a few of the little details need works such as the frays of the rug and magnets on the fridge. But I'm not sure, though, if that's what is most important since the task was probably more about drawing the eye to the back of the room than the details... If that is so, than I think you did well. I also think the lines could be a bit straighter, like in the room with the TV, on the the wall.

I like the rat on the TV. ;)

rachel - Ha! I've been meaning to draw Bloo, actually, as I like him, as well. I'll get on to sketching him in due time. ;)

Thank you very much for the critique! I did realize that the rug is not the fanciest thing in the world, as I rushed on the tassels/frays, and that the magnets sucked, so I'm glad that you pointed those out -- it alerts me to the fact that my work could use some improvement.

The project itself involves drawing a room in perspective and then composing five other rooms on top of the main one. So far, I have only finished inking the main room and one of its five counterparts, the latter being the drawing I provided a link to above. Personally, I'll be pleased when the project is fully complete. (heh)

Ha-ha. Thanks. ;)

Cool. Thanks for accepting the Bloo request. I look forward to seeing your interpretation of him. Take your time, though. There's no rush. ;-)

Oh, your welcome with the critique. I think if you take your time, then the little details will naturally become more polished. But that's easy to fix. Good luck with the rest of the rooms you have to do. Are you going to try to sneak a Ratatouille reference into every room?

rachel - No problem. I'll do my best complete your request as soon as I find time to do so.

Yes, indeed. With practice comes perfection, and even then there is something else that could use improvement, which is fine by me. ;)

Ha! You know, I just might do that....

Some of you may have already seen the following compositions on my deviantArt page, but I shall repost them here, in any case:

I'm an animator! Voila': "Ratimation"

The first and third projects were done as part of an application I sent in to the InnerSpark/CSSSA (California State Summer School for the Arts) institution. For more information on the program and the animated sequence, feel free to access the link to the "Ratimation" project above.

I think that my artwork is improving....

Zoot - An original character that I recently created. Her species name and history are unknown, although it has been decided that her current residence is within the depths of the Brazilian jungle.

Sally O'Malley - A quick sketch of Whoville resident Sally O'Malley, the wife of Mayor Ned McDod and mother of ninety-seven children. Sally appears in Blue Sky Studios' latest animated production, Horton Hears a Who!

Patch - Patch the puppy from Disney's 101 Dalmatians. A reference was used for this drawing.

Saint Patrick's Day Puppy - This composition was done for an acquaintance of mine.

"Rat"-imation - I know I mentioned this before, but I wanted to post the link to it here again since I updated it -- the animation itself runs faster and smoother now.

The Star Swordsman and rachel - I'm terribly sorry that I haven't completed the sketches you requested yet. My workload is of the hefty sort, and for this I apologize. You will receive your compositions, though, so don't worry. ;)

Mitch - I actually can't view your work. I got " File Not Found" when I tried to view you first four pieces. I did manage to view your "Rat"-imation piece. That was very nicely done. Your artwork is improving. I'm impressed.
