So this is just like the Incredibles thread, but for all the movies. I hate anti-canon pairings. Do you like them? Love? Dislike?

Strange pertains to WoodyXJessie, HelenXLucious, HelenXBuddy, MirageXBob, MirageXViolet, BobXViolet, and anything anti-canon.

Helen and Buddy…EWWWWW!!! :unamused: I’ve never seen/ heard of that before.

I won’t post links because they’re inappropriate. Just Google it.

I’m afraid it will scar me for life which I’m sure it will. :frowning: I cant stand these non realistic pairings!!! :unamused:

Me too I HATE non-cannon parings with a passion… pffft Mater and Sally…

I hate it when someone’s “fandom” is just based around pairings and shippers, even when they’re canon, but specially those weird pairings you mention.

It happens in every franchise, not just with Pixar, and it’s always absurd.

There’s so much to admire in a movie/franchise, I don’t know why most “fans” just adore the “romantic” (sometimes romantic isn’t the right word) aspects of them. It’s just sad.

I completely agree.

I agree with both of you. I love Pixar couples, but they’re certainly not the best aspect of the movies.

Say Whaaa?! <img src=“{SMILIES_PATH}/youwhaaa.gif” alt=“o_0;;” title="You

Whaaa…" /> IMHO without a love story I the a movie would be bleac…

I like how Pixar’s films entertain everyone by balancing mushy stuff and bad-@$$ action. And that’s why everyone, even people who say they don’t, loves Pixar movies.

Exactly I love the balance of action and love in all the Pixar movies!! especially in The Incredibles.  <3

Not every movie needs a love story to work (take Finding Nemo for instance, but I know I’ll be attacked by the Marlin/Dory shippers arguing that they were, in fact a couple).

Anyway, even when the love story is the main driving force of the movie (Up being the clearest example), I still think the fandom needs to be more than just worshiping a couple.

I wanna make clear that I’m not referring to any of you guys in here, because I know a lot of you love shippers, and I’m okay with that. I’m actually thinking in some Harry Potter fans I know, but it happens in every franchise.

Same here, except that I also really feel for the Toy Story movies. Actually for all of them.

SoA, I wasn’t disagreeing w/you. I’m big on Pixar couples, but I do my best not to annoy people. Sorry if I sounded like I was arguing with you.

Yeah, that’s true…heh…it must be my soft side comming out… :stuck_out_tongue:

I like romance and action, but not too much of either, so most of the Pixar movies are perfect, by my calculations.

Haha.

Not at all, IncredigirlVirginia. I wasn’t referring to you at all

It was just a general statement I wanted to make.

I’m expected to disagree in a board like this, after all. Most people in this forums are 15 years old girls, so I understand this is the main attraction for them.

For me, on the other hand, being a loveless 21 years old guy (and a cinema lover, on top), it’s very difficult to relate with that.

I’m weird. I despise romantic comedies and dramas with a passion, but I love animated romance. I don’t get it.

Yeah…I’m like that too…

I hate stereo typical boy-meets-girl crap, and I despise the likes of Twilight. I just like some toy, super hero, robot, or maybe even car action. :sunglasses:

MiragexViolet??? Really? How do people imagine chemistry between them at all? Actually, don’t answer that.
BobxViolet??! EW. Disturbing!
Most of these I despise. The ones I don’t really hate are JessiexWoody and MarlinxDory. I don’t agree with them and I like them better as friends, but at least these pairings make more sense than the rest.
