I've never heard of City Lights. It must be well known.

That makes me so sad. But I'm not suprised. It's hard to find TV stations that play movies more than 30 years old. (Besides TCM, but I'm one of the few people in my generation to watch it).

I love old movies, and I watch TCM sometimes, but I just haven't heard of that one. I also love this channel called MeTV that plays older TV shows, including Columbo! :D

City Lights was Charlie Chaplin's last silent film, and in the opinion of many, his best film. It's about the tramp who falls in love with a blind flower girl.

Since it's a Chaplin film, not only is it hilarious, but is especially moving. The ending is IMO the best in any film. EVER. That's not a fact in the world, but in the world of e-j-e it is.

It's on 7 AFI's 100 years lists too.

It's on youtube. So if you're interested, check it out.

^ That's a good choice. I don't believe I've seen City Lights but I know I've seen clips.

I don't have a specific favorite, but my collection does contain a lot of studios, genres, categories...whatever.

(1) The Incredibles is my favorite superhero movie. In fact, it's the only superhero movie I love most!

(2) Recently I have become interested in Tron: The Original Classic and this has become my new favorite Sci-Fi film. I actually do watch Sci-Fi, as I own quite a few titles--yet I have no specific reason for being attracted to it. (I wonder if it's because of all the technological advances that don't even exist yet!) There is one thing where I do have a specific reason, though: I do not want to see Terminator.

(3) I love Christmas movies, such as Elf, The Polar Express, A Christmas Story, and Home Alone.

(4) If there are at least 2 Studio Ghibli films I really want to check out someday, that would be My Neighbor Totoro and Ponyo.
