I just LOVE the end where all the little birds loose their
feathers and the large bird just honks with laughter.

This short is so funny. I loved the birds and that one akward bird. So hilarious. But the
theme of the short really stood out to me.

It's prolly just me but I gotta say it, when the little
birds are all "shouting" and the goofy one starts to "sing" along doesn't it sorta sound
like a sax just for that one second? Jus getting my thoughts out here.

According to Ralph Eggleston's commentary, they made this short purely for fun. And it won an Oscar. Fun's
not a bad ingrediant to add into a short, eh?
It's a great little short, and a nice timeless one as well,
like Geri's Game.

They couldn't know that the points from the mainline to the siding were frozen, and the signal should have been set at 'DANGER', but snow had forced it down.

Yeah, it quite possibly is a sax. Watching the short again, he does sound
like one for a few seconds, though not when he's laughing or anything.

Agreed. It's amazing that
many companies these days seem to forget that "fun" is actually quite integral and necessary for
success!!
What a great short . . . talk about Karma!

Though they endured so much and came out of it with nothing, they'll rise out of the ashes once more!

Yeah, they mentioned that in the commentary. I don't think I ever picked up
on it before watching the commentary, but then, I only watched it a few times before watching it with the
commentary, so who knows, maybe I would have eventually.

after finding that out, I especially enjoyed watching the snobby one; no offense to our many members from the
U.K., but he looks so, well, British.

Pixfan- Yeah, I noticed that
after watching it a couple of times through. But it isn't overly obvious, and doesn't spoil the short at
all.
