I love this movie! Its a classic! And I love the song!!!

You down Common and Cupid and Donner and Glitzen!
But do recall, the most famous reindeer of all?
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer!
Had a very shiny nose! (Like a lightbulb!)
And if you ever saw it...
You would even say it glows! (like a flashlight!)
All of the other reindeer...
Used to laugh and call him names! (like Pinocchio!)
They never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games! (like Monopoly!)
Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say (in his underwear!)
Rudolph with your nose so bright...
won't you guide my sleigh tonight?
Then all the reindeer loved him...
as they shouted out with glee! (YIPPE!)
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer
You'll go down in history! (like George Washington!)

<3 Oh I don't blame you, Rudolph is a christmas classic. I love watching the special every year and listening to the song on the radio. I actually have a christmas ornament of him, a plastic figure, and a plush that plays part of the song and his nose glows!

Rudolph is my favourite ever Christmas song, because Rudolph is different but then he ends up saving Christmas. Except in the Australian version you sing "You'll go down in History... like Captain Cook in the history book!" :P

Captain Cook? Who's Captain Cook? My best friend told me that Rudolph is based on a very old book, and that the song is based on the book, and the movie is based on both. I don't believe him. Is it true?

annarborjack- According to Wikipedia, your friend is right! "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is a character created in a story and song by the same name. The story was created by Robert L. May in 1939 as part of his employment with Montgomery Ward." - Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Though the idea and story behind it is cool, I'm not very keen on the song. For some reason, it doesn't quite get me in the Christmas spirit in the same way that Slade or Band Aid does.

Oh, I love the song! Especially how you can be silly and say the second line ("like Monopoly!"). It just really gets me into the Xmas spirit.

Captain Cook is the Englishman who discovered Australia, comparable to Christopher Columbus of the US.

There are even several translations of the song into Latin (no kidding!).

I wonder when someone will unearth the original Klingon version...

That movie song is damn amazing, i would like to appreciate the writing of the writer who write that song in such amazing way. but I would like to write my own songs just like this one rudolph the red-nosed reindeer and that song always have a special place in my heart so I have been taking classes from EssayGeeks essay writing service to get more info about writing techniques to improve but for now they just do the assignment or homework part of my life but there service is too amazing to be ignored at any cost
