I’m a little bit confused, but browsing the net I found 3 sites (IMDB / The Hollywood Reporter / Hollywood.com)reporting a different production/distribution company for Brad Bird’s picture 1906. It seems that Barry Levinson is producing the movie with Baltimore Spring Creek and WB.
So we’ll have to wait for the official announcement to know the “truth”.

This is probably true, and sort of obvious, for two reasons:
I think Pixar has at least something to do with it, but you got to remember: it is very early in production. So there’s not going to be much hard evidence for anything, and it’s probably going to change quite a bit anyway before anything gets written in stone. 
yeah lots of things could change before then. it would make more sense to me if it was done by some other studio but I too am thinking Pixar will have something to do with it.
I’ve been noticing that too, but I remember Mr. Bird saying that he was developing a live action project at Pixar. Who knows, maybe it wouldn’t be a “Pixar film” like we’re used to, but something where Pixar is still involved with elements other than the production of the film, ie. visual effects (I think they did something very similar to what I’m thinking on Sky Captain, where Pixar was heavily involved with the film, but it’s not seen as a “Pixar film”). Or maybe it might all be a mistake and when Mr. Bird got involved it moved over to Disney and Pixar. Cause I remember hearing once that Mr. Bird to this day holds strong feelings against Warners for completley screwing the pooch when it came to The Iron Giant, which should have been a much bigger hit than it was, but failed when it was in theatres because they didn’t spend a single cent on marketing, and I personally didn’t even hear about it until it was on video.
I’m just going to wait until 1906…comes out. Ha ha!
The movie will be distributed by Warner Bros.
But the special effects are probably coming from Pixar.
No confirmation yet, but there are many clues that it will be that way.
As I said before, we will have to wait.
