This year, you can pick up 2 kinds of Pixar Valentines. One box is solely
Cars. The other box has cards from all of Pixar’s movies, but once again,
A Bug’s Life didn’t make the cut. 
Each box contains 32 Valentines with
8 designs and only costs a dollar.

I’m quite surprised that A Bug’s Life still isn’t getting much
attention in the franchise world/industry. What’s up with that? A “Flik and Atta” or “Dot”
picture would make a perfect valentine for any little boy or girl.
Other than that, it’s nice to know
that Pixar’s characters have gone as far as landing themselves on valentine cards. I might just get the one that
includes Finding Nemo cards for kicks… 
Here’s your answer to that…
Survey 100
little kids (10 and under) and find out how many know who Flick and Ada are (Remember, the oldest ones weren’t
even 1 when this movie came out).
Now compare that number to the number who know who Woody, Buzz, Jessi,
Mike, Sulley, Nemo, Marlin, Dory, Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Dash, Vi, Jack-Jack, Lightning, Mater, Sally, and
Doc are.
If you were to actually conduct this survey you’d see that Monsters Inc is slowly headed that
direction too.
Now imagine the Valentines were evenly divided. Kids aren’t gonna buy a pack in which
they don’t recognize 1/6 of the characters pictured.
Dash - Heh – yeah, you do
have a point there. Toy Story got so much attention at the box office that is
practically became Pixar’s “logo” film, so to speak.
I can see what you mean now. However, it
still isn’t fair to A Bug’s Life…
Two valentines?
Great! I’ll take the one with all Pixar characters then, (since they have nothing solely on The
Incredibles).
But about ABL not making the cut, I hate to say it, but I find it quite understandable.
After all, ABL wasn’t Pixar’s best successful flim. 
Coool! I’ll have to be on the lookout for those Cars
ones!
The Star Swordsman - Well, no – I suppose that [i]A
Bug’s Life[/i] didn’t quite match up with some of Pixar’s other films, but it was still a great
piece of work, none-the-less. It deserves some attention.
I wonder if they will make

Will the
Valentines include a kind of punch-line related to the movie?
Most of the Valentine phrases are lame, but cute:

Well, I guess it wouldn’t be a
complete card without the really cheezy punch lines.
Mitch-I’m sure there are people at Pixar who feel bad about ABL being left out
too, especially if they actually worked on making the film in the first place. But, I guess at the end of the
day, in the movie business, it’s not about what’s fair to the films, but what makes the most
profit.
And, of course, the Valentine’s cards just had to be cheesy! Wouldn’t have them any other way.
Before now, wasn’t
there a valentine box that contained only ABL? I think I remember getting one when I was young.
lizardgirl - Heh – yeah, you’re probably right. I sure would hate it if I worked
on a film and products for it weren’t even marketed. But hey – what can you do? Heh. They have to target an
audience that is used to a particular film or character, especially if it is popular. I guess since
A Bug’s Life didn’t generate much enthusiasm, it was left out of the picture. Oh
well…
As for the cheesy lines: Definitely! The cheesier the better!

Swordsman[/b] - You know what? Come to think of it, you’re right! I do
recall seeing a box of A Bug’s Life valentines years and years back. I haven’t
seen them since, though. Hmm…
I think one said, “it would bug me if you weren’t my valentine.”
Ha! It took me about 4 different
stores but I finally found the Cars ones at the American Greetings shop. They’re pretty cute! I persuaded my mom
to get them for her class 
I’ve done that with the nemo ones too.
It
is rather depressing that Bug’s Life is too ancient to be in the loop… That makes me feel really
old…
But on topic… Valentines! Wow. That is exciting. I wish I still gave those out to my friends
because that is a good childhood memory… maybe I will. Just for fun!
I remembered when I was in elementary school,
I gave a Pixar valentine to all of my class mates.
My cousin Robin says I should get a box of Cars
valentines for myself (i was letting my mom use most of them because I only wanted a few). I dont really have 32
people to give Cars valentines to though. On another note, I still havent seen the other Pixar valentines…

Valentines are so much fun! Although, I’m probably the
only one I know my age who still gets into them…
I did get the Finding Nemo Valentines, and The
Incredibles ones when they came out. I don’t think I’ll get the Cars ones this year, though; I really don’t
know who I’d give them to.
Poor ABL… it’s a shame that movie just doesn’t get the attention it
