I wouldnt bother, he’s very inaccurate, over sized and moves awkwardly. I’m not sure who their trying to impress here other than people fascinated by any toy that moves on its own. but I just don’t think the technology is there to make a toy like this work.
Eh, look hard enough, and you can find him for $90. Some of the features are cool, and the motors in the face work well, but the walking is what looks awkward.
I think my mom saw this in the store once and couldn’t believe that it was 100 to 200 dollars. I didn’t quite believe it either when she told me. I’ll stick with the TSC Buzz Lightyear.
I bought this Buzz for my son on eBay for $40. It cost me another $40 for shipping to the UK. Thats still a big saving over what it costs here. The original price tag is a complete joke. Saying that, he isn’t that bad a toy as some would suggest. He’s no different to most robot toys. Their fun for about 10 mins of play then you get bored and come back to him again periodically. My son still enjoys playing laser tag with him. The bottom line is, if you can get him for what I did, I think it’s worth it.
$40 is a great find for this Buzz. I’m not surprised that your kids only play with it once in a while, though. I remember as a kid the toys with bells and whistles were fun for a short time, but the toys that allowed the most imagination to take over were the ones I played with the most. Even today, I’d much rather have the TSC version.
