Again, some of the categories were reeeally close, so don't feel too bad if you didn't win - just feel privileged to be nominated! Also, there were a few inevitable ties so for some categories there is more than one winner.  The winners should have now been added to the 'Pixar Planet Award Winners' usergroup and you should have a trophy badge underneath your username, if you didn't get one for last year's awards. If for any reason you would like to removed from the group just send me a PM.

Please leave your 'acceptance speeches' and 'congratulations' in this thread. Thanks again, everybody!

Ah, another year another bunch of awards…

Big thanks to The Star Swordsman for helping me out with double-checking the votes. And thank YOU if you participated in this year’s awards in any way. We had a good amount of voters this time so that was great. Congratulations to the nominees and winners! :smiley:

Thank you to anyone that nominated or voted for me. That’s always very flattering. To win ‘Best Member’ again was really nice. I mean, it looks like I totally rigged that category since I’m one of the organisers :stuck_out_tongue: (I didn’t). But still… thank you. Phileas, you really did deserve to win BPPSM more than me - you’re such a creative member and you’ve breathed new life into Pixar Planet ever since you were made site admin. To win that category alongside you is an honour.

Ahahah, ffdude1906 winning ‘Craziest Pixar Fan’ - didn’t see that one coming! I’m really glad to see that thedriveintheatre won Best Video for Soul-Bot is Eva and that Peter won for his lovely avatar - they were two of my personal favourites of the nominations so I was secretly rooting for those to win, among others. Congrats, boys! :wink:

Hmm, it was tempting to put my own name down for some categories… ;-p But that’s why another person alongside me counts the votes too, so it’s all above board.

Holy cow, 3 awards? That’s incredibly flattering guys, especially for best new member of '09 and wanting to meet most in person! Craziest Pixar fan is a mixed bag, but I’m proud to have it. :stuck_out_tongue:

From behalf of the Brains Trust here at Pixar Planet, we wish you congratulations for those who have won, and a sincere thank-you to all those who had participated in the voting. If you have won this year, be proud that you have been recognized by the Planeteers. If you missed out on winning, don’t worry - there’s always next time, and good luck for making the cut next at the next Awards!

On a personal level, I’d like to thank everyone for their votes, no matter who you voted for. You, the members, have made 2009 a very special year to hold close to my heart due to me discovering Pixar Planet less than a year ago. Thank you, thank you for those who make Pixar Planet the place to discuss, chat, and meet new Pixar fans.

Acceptance Speech:

I accept my two awards (holding my virtual statue, a gold-cast version of the Pixar Planet logo mounted on a stand :stuck_out_tongue:) with the greatest appreciation and upmost gratitude. Thank you for recognizing me as a good person, and in turn, I recognize all of you as good people too.

Firstly, I’d like to give a big thanks to Violet Parr, for a ton of inspiration for all the work I’ve contributed to the forums. Thank you for being such a sweetheart, I really do appreciate it. :slight_smile: I would also like to thank my fellow Brain Trustees (Dash & bawcpwpn), the best darn moderation team to lead (a very special mention to Rachel, TSS, and lizardgirl, thank you for the support in 2009), and to those who that I have the privilage to get to know particular Planeteers out of the Planet: wannabechef91, TWCS (my P&F buddy!), mygames19, ffdude, Hannahmation, Mitch, Capt. Pan, Rachel, DisneyDutchess, Mynokos_Fan, lizardgirl, Violet Parr, martini833, and those who participate in PPMN. It’s great to know you guys, you are great pals to know and confide in! (To those highlighted: It’s great to be great pals outside the username of Phileas. It’s great to be pals with you guys!)

Pixar Planet is like family to me, so a big THANK YOU to everyone for making this Planet great, and for each other, sharing our Pixar fandom. I wouldn’t be as happy or have as much people I can call friends if I never discovered this site. As part of my gratitude, I endeavour to provide Pixar Planet the changes and improvements for years to come.

It’s 5:00 am now, and I’m :open_mouth: I got the email and thought ?!? and came straight here to see what was up. I knew there were awards going on, but hadn’t followed the process, and didn’t nominate/vote this year because I didn’t feel familiar enough yet with everyone and everything to cast a fair ballot.

Big thanks to the voters, and everyone who has taken the time to read my “stuff.” I guess this means I need to get my fanfic hat back on and get back to work!

Whoa! Dude! This is quite a shock! Nice way to start the year, with a fun surprise like this. I must say I didnt expect to even be nominated, much less actually win anything. Thanks to everyone to voted for me as well as whoever nominated me, because I honestly dont know. But thanks, whoever you are! :wink: Interesting choice, Conflicted Vulcan, I didnt think it would be that noticeable. But obviously it was :slight_smile: Glad to see people liked it! I won? Well, even if it was a three-way tie (like in Cars! lol), I won? O_O starts speaking in gibberish I’ve only done two commentaries (and only one has been released) so to be a tied winner for Best Fan Commentator, that’s just wow. Guess my tendency to just talk and talk and talk is a good thing! lol But anyways, thanks to whoever voted for me, and I’m proud to share this honor with rachelcakes1985 and Lightning Eclipse. :smiley:

WOAH, I can’t believe I tied for Best Fan Commentator! :open_mouth: That is crazy! I was beyond thrilled at just being nominated, but to tie with such great commentators as Rachel and LightningAndDoc is a huge honor for me. Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me, this made my day! ^^ I’m honored that people like listening to me ramble about the things I love. XD

Oh, and I just remembered I was in the Toy Story commentary that won Best Fan Commentary! Again, thanks so much for everyone who voted for that… I had a lot of fun with that commentary, and I got to do it with some really awesome people as well, so congrats to everyone who participated in that commentary with me, too! ^^

And of course, congratulations to all of the other winners, as well. ^^ Even though I probably don’t post here nearly as often as I should, this is by far one of the nicest forums I’ve ever been a part of, and you all are beyond deserving of your awards.

Friendliest member…? Best Fan Fiction writer…? Best freakin’ fanfiction with NO TIES?!! 8’D (I seriously wanna know who in the world is reading that fic and not telling me. Like, seriously. There are so many other fanfics on this site that kick mine in the butt… WHUT is this.)

And, and, and… I’m tied as Best Graphics and Icons artist with Phileas and thewisecookiesheet, who are both WAY more amazing than I am?!! Dang, this is an honor! I don’t even know what to say, guys… C’8

As for an “acceptance speech”, hmm…

Well, there are so many people on this site that have inspired me beyond words and need to be mentioned. First and foremost, Mitch… I look up to her like she has no idea. Her talent is beyond anything I harness and she is such an inspiration to me, not to mention an incredible friend. She’s blessed me with more than I could ever repay. Violet Parr, Netbug009, Sally Jonson, JustSoWall-eCrazy, Hannahmation… fellow sisters in Christ… let’s rock it!! :smiley: I really had hoped that Violet Parr would win Friendliest Member, because she truly is an amazing person and her kindness more than deserves to be pointed out - keep spreading the love and joy of Christ around, girl - it shines through you!!

Of course, I have to pull him aside and thank him in public, but I want to recognize a truly wonderful member of the community, and that is mo. I may sound a little biased saying this, but he has such a bubbly, energetic personality and he’s become a very important part of my life over the past year. He was the first to welcome me to PixarPlanet, and now almost an entire year later, we’re a couple (it’s a long story, but an incredible one… head on over to the “dating thread” to read all about it :wink:). You are the moonlight of my life every night, my WALL•E - and you’re everything to me! <3

A shout-out to our wonderful mods and staff members - keep up the incredible work. This site is amazing and wouldn’t be so without the hard work you guys put into it. Thank you. :slight_smile:

To all the good friends I’ve made here since joining - you know who you are. :wink: You guys mean the world to me, and without the support and encouragement (yes, and even critique!) from all of you I wouldn’t have made half the progress that I did over the past year.
