Today is 9/11. On early morning Sep, 11 2001, the US was attacked by terrorists. They hijack planes and planed to crash them into buildings. Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon. Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower. Flight 175 crashed into the South Tower. Flight 93 crashed into a field, No one knows where it was going but most think it was the White House or Capital Building. Thoundeds of people died that day, some giving there life to save others. 9/11 where be in are minds forever and never forgotten. We should think about all the victoms that day, the ones who lost there loved ones, and the soldiers who faught in the war, and the everyone who cares and helps with it. We hope that this never happens again to anyone in the world. Thank you for reading my post. God bless America and the world.
Really nice post, Pixarfan91.
Our hearts and prayers are with those families that lost someone on this historic day, September 11, 2001.
I will never forget that day.
It is only fitting that today we are watching Monsters, Inc. at Pixar Planet Movie Night. Many of you will remember that this film came out almost two months after September 11. The film itself had to be changed in the wake of the attack, However, Monsters, Inc. served as a very theraputic experience to many. In a time when people where afraid to even leave their houses, Monsters was the first film many saw in theaters since that day. It comforted many and helped to make us feel safer.
I still remember like it was yesterday. I was only 9, but I remember it so vividly.
I’ve been watching tons of documentarys, and I cried last night!
Live in Peace,
Love all,
Respect your Brothers
An emotional day for all… I was far too young to understand what any of it meant at the time, but looking at the old footage now, I’m horrified… I’d say it was one of the most colossal things to happen in the 2000’s decade.
My friend lost her mother at age 5 to the attack. Her father is remarried now and she really likes her stepmother, so at least she does have someone.
I can guarentee you can ask 100 people and they can tell you where they were and what they were thinking during the time of the attacks. It was such an emotional and tramatic experience for america. We won’t forget. May peace be with those whose lives were lost in the attack.
I too was too young to know exactly I just remember the princpal comming in during school, and saying you could’nt call anyone, and parents were picking their children up one by one,I knew something strange was going on so I asked my dad and he told me…It was like the whole world stopped…VERY terrifiying…
I feel absolutely terrible that I was way too young to understand the gravity of what happened. That year, we were planning on going to Disney (us kids had no idea- it was a surprise trip), and we basically went to Florida a week after 9/11. It was actually quite intimidating as a 7 year-old to see soldiers and police surveying the airports at all times, and all the while wondering why they had to do it.
The second it happened, I remember watching the TV and (please excuse my ignorant 7 year-old mind) I thought that it was some kind of cool action TV show that they were talking about on the news… until I heard my mom freaking out on the phone with one of her friends and they were saying over and over again, “Oh my goodness, is this really happening?”
Now that I look back on it, I have no idea how such a tragic event as this could have went right over my head when I was younger. I can’t even watch the documentaries on it… it bothers me too much.
Many prayers to those who have suffered as a result of this horrific and terrible event.
~God bless America.~
I just read an article about Muslim Americans, and how 9/11 ruins they’re lives. I pray for all of the Muslims out there, who have been treated like second class citizens because a radical group called al-Queda decided to slaughter thousands in the name of what they called “Islam”.
All I remember was everyone freaking out. However, I do care. I even purchased a 9/11 American flag window cling. I didn’t lose anyone, but I pray for those that did, and those who were lost.
My prayers and thoughts are with everyone who lost a family or friend in these attacks. I’m praying for those who risked their lives to save others, those who helped in any way to comfort and support those mourning families left behind, and all of America.
God bless America
Yeah, it is kind of sad. I have Muslim friends, and they are very sweet and friendly. Sometimes I’m embarrassed to join Republican groups on, say, Facebook, because there’s always a few people who trash Islam and go “OMG OBAMA HATES GOD AND AMERICA BECAUSE HE’S MUSLIM!” I don’t think he is at all (we’ve “met” his priest), and even if he was, Muslim =/= hating America.
God bless those who died that day.
I was also pretty young back then. The worst part was that no one would or could tell me what was going on, which frustrated me.
While on Youtube, some people from diffrent countris were saying “Happy 9/11” like it was a good day. they also said things like “Good job Osama” I hope we find that guy.
I hate that. OK, seriously, I get it. A lot of people hate the US. But God, show some sympathy.
I hope we find him too, if he isn’t already dead.
