A Gaming Section

I was wondering

whether I could have a gaming section to the boards, like under Off Topic, Gaming. Thanks.

P.S., didn’t

know who to PM, that’s why I done it here.

By gaming you mean???

Discussion of Video Games of

PIXAR?
Discusion of Video Games in General?
Role-Playing Games?
Discussion of Games in General?

I’m guessing, being off-topic, it’d be any video game

free-for-all.

I adore video games. Knights of the Old Republic is the best thing evAr.

I think discussions for video games are best suited for Off-Topic. However, I don’t think that we can RP on

the boards.

Yeah a general video games talk, maybe a

sub board of off topic then.

I’m not much of a videogamer . . . I have a PSone, and I used to have a NES before

that.

These days, I play either Crash Bandicoot or Spyro (of their PSone series).

I don’t mind

replaying the Spyro ones, their awesome!

And as for the Crash games, I’ve only fully completed CTR (Crash

Team Racing), and I still have four others to complete!

My favorite games are the Incredibles,

Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer, and the Madden Series.

I don’t play video games nearly as much as I used to, and I’m only a mediocre player. I

still game, though, and I’m a pure Nintendo person.

I enjoy:

  • the Fire Emblem games (even though I

still have yet to beat one :unamused:)

  • the two Golden Sun games for GBA (great RPGs right there )
  • Super

Smash Bros. Melee (how can you go wrong with that game?)

  • racing games (favorite

would be F-Zero GX, followed by the Mario Kart games)

  • Cars (even though I’d heard good things, I was wary

because of it being a movie-based game, but I rented it and loved it and now I’ll be asking for it for

Christmas)

  • Mario (no explanation necessary)

I’ll probably be getting a Wii when it comes out,

although I wouldn’t be quite as certain as I am if it weren’t for the fact that I have a brother. I’m really

looking forward to Super Smash Bros. Brawl, though, and I remember hearing about a tennis game where you use the

controller as the racket, which sounds pretty fun to me, being a tennis fan. Other than that, the only announced

thing I’m really looking forward to is the ability to play old games; my Super Mario 64 DS got stolen, so I’m

looking forward to getting the original N64 version, and I’m hoping that they’ll still have the SNES Donkey

Kong Country games abailable even though they’ve since split with Rare, because I remember playing those at my

cousin’s house many moons ago and they were

awesome.

I remember playing those games at friends’

houses several years ago; fun games. A friend and I actually found a glitch in one of the Spyro games, I think

it was the second one. There’s this one underwater level, and at the very start if you run into the circular

“invisible wall” surrounding the level at an angle, you’ll circle outwards through the wall until you

drop off the edge and you start flying, and you can see all the rooms and parts and stuff of the level from the

outside. And if you fly down low enough you’ll suddenly drop straight down and splash into an invisible pool of

water, at which point the only escape is to dive down and die. At least, it’s something like that, if I

remember correctly. It was pretty cool when we discovered it.

I like to play:

The NES Mega/Rockman

series
Final Fantasies III, VI, VII, VIII and X
The Grand Theft Auto series
Wipeout

2097
Cars
Mario Kart
Super Mario World
Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, 3 and Knuckles
Sonic

Pinball
The Legend of Zelda
Marble Madness (Anyone remember this game?)
Etcetra

Kool

PlayStation all the way. :sunglasses:

Yep, I’m a PlayStation-er too. I don’t play it as much as I used to (darned

coursework) but if I do play, I play Rayman. Gotta love Rayman. I’m gonna get a Nintendo DS Lite off eBay,

just because it’s portable and therefore easier to play at any time.

I only have an Xbox and a Gamecube.

Not a video game fan. However…

I have an N64 and my sister, bro-in-law and I

play Mario Kart 64 once or twice a year. How old is that game? 10 years? My sister and I still aren’t bored of

it… it’s simply the best game ever.

I love my PC. On my PC,

we have:

Myst
Riven
Myst III: Exile
Uru: Ages Beyond Myst
Myst IV: Revelation
Sid Meyers’

Pirates!
Knights of the Old Republic
Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
Star Wars: Dark

Forces
Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast
Jedi Knight III: Jedi Academy
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of

the King
The Sims 2

…yeah, in case you couldn’t tell, I am a big Myst/Star Wars fan. Myst was the

first series of games to ever capture my loyalty, though. I’ve been a fan for about 10 years. And this fact

kind of frightens me.

Oh, Myst brings back happy memories! It’s one of the best

PC game series ever, no doubt about it.

I

forgot to mention that I love Incredibles: When Danger Calls.

I had Toy Story 2 for PS1, and it was such an

amazing game. Took me weeks for like 4 hours a day to complete.
