You may notice that Cars and A Bug’s Life, generally regarded as the worst two Pixar films, both are the only Pixar films to have lowercase letters in their titles (besides the promo version of the Ratatouille logo). Coincidence?
This would also imply that newt is going to stink.
I think that’s just coincidence.Pixar doesn’t intentionally make their films any worse than the next, expeshally just because it’s got lowercase letters.
the only reason this makes any sense is if Critics have some beef with movies with lower-case titles.
Weird. . . I generally don’t understand why Cars seems to be a bad movie in general while I adore it! But that’s just me. I don’t think Newt will stink though. It sounds pretty good so far.
Ironic, but no, not a coincidence. The fact that some film titles are lower case implies NOTHING on the actual film.
As for “worst” films, do you mean good films? Neither A Bug’s Life nor Cars were bad films. In fact, I loved them just as much as any other Pixar film. They were arguably not on par with other Pixar films to some people, but that in no way means they were bad or unsuccessful.
As for Newt, I know a lot of people seem skeptical about it already, but I think we should NEVER speculate about it when we don’t even have an in-depth detail of the film, or any visuals or clips… People who speculate a Pixar film too early are usually the ones dumbfounded in the end… Just like the people who thought Ratatouille did not sound good because all they knew at the time was it will be about a rat that wants to be a chef, or the people who were not exactly keen on the idea of a loner trash compacter who one day falls in love… We need to just give these films some time until they are ready to flourish in the media to really build an opinion over them. I know it’s still about two years from now before we’ll have Newt, but we’ll just have to be patient and not wrap our minds around it yet.
Agreed Disney_Guy. I was very skeptical about UP when the first bits of plot started coming out, but now it looks like it will be one of Pixar’s best films, and I can’t wait to see it.
Don’t worry…i love Cars as does my entire family. I just think taht it received a bad review because it was done more on emotion and action then on storyline. They did a great job with it but compared to Walle, Finding Nemo, and even Incredibles it does have a significant less storyline.
I never considered A Bug’s Life one of Pixar’s worst…It was awesome. If you switched it with The Incredibles, then I’d agree (Still a good movie…It’s Pixar, after all. ).
You’re all kidding right? It’s ridiculous that a promo logo “implies” anything about the quality of a film that yet to be done.
The premise of Newt is far more interesting than TS3, or Car 2 or even The Bear and the Bow. It’s the weirdest and strangest premise out of Pixar and I’m all for it rather than that money-grabber Cars 2.
Um,Yeah.I don’t think Cars,Bugs Life and worst should be in the same sentence. But it dosent matter anyways because there are some people who do love both movies. And just a little friendly reminder don’t critisize a movie 2 years before it comes out. I don’t think letters have anything to do with it.
I think the point that Bryko614 was making was that the first letters of the titles of A Bug’s Life and Cars tended not to be capitilized on posters and stuff like that, and as far as I’m aware, the title of Monsters, Inc. has always been capitilized.
Either way, I’m hoping Bryko614 is kidding. It’s a funny coincidence but it obviously doesn’t mean anything.
I didn’t think Monsters Inc. was bad, It was just not one of my favorite films. Actually, none of Pixar’s films are bad. There are just some that I enjoyed more than others.
