I’ve read the junior novelization and figured a few things from the trailer bits and just wanted to note a few things.
[spoil]It looks like her parents travel a lot, based on that Mr Pricklepants is a German toy (perhaps hard to find in the US). Bonnie’s games involve traveling (rocket ship/airplane), and her scenarios are far flung (cafe in Paris/coffee shop in NY).
She’s younger than Andy, and it looks like some of her toys were preloved (Buttercup’s tail is cut up- though she could’ve done that herself) and truthfully, I was hoping that somehow Bo would make it to Bonnie’s room through a garage sale or something between TS2 and TS3 unbeknown to Woody[/spoil]. -Omar
First of all, I think the thread title is a little risky, although I can’t think of an alternate title.
But onto the topic.
[spoil]Bonnie takes a lot of her toys from Sunnyside since her mom works there. Chuckles is confirmed to have been taken by her, and she also took Woody. So it can be assumed that most of her toys came to her that way, especially since they all know a lot about how evil Sunnyside is. In the Art of book it even says that most of her toys should look like they were recycled from Sunnyside. So unless Chuckles told them everything, then they came from Sunnyside.
It seems like most of her adventures are more surreal than Andy’s, which were mostly westerns.
It would have been interesting if Bo were in Bonnie’s room, but it may have been a little too convenient, so I’m glad they didn’t do it.[/spoil]
I wholeheartedly and profusely apologize for the title, but I couldn’t think of another title at the time.
I had no idea that she[spoil] took that many toys. [/spoil] I figured most came from garage sales, but still, that’s quite a piece of information. Thanks!
Yeah I noticed that they were more [spoil]surreal[/spoil]. Thanks! -Omar
Fixed the title. Is this fine with you, actionman81?
Thanks! Perfect! Thanks again! -Omar
[spoil]Bonnie got Lotso, Big Baby, and Chuckles from a girl named Daisy who donated them to Sunnyside. Daisy had lost her lotso, bought a new one, and thats why he’s a villian. Woody mentions “Sunnyside” at Bonnies house and trixie shows him to Chuckles, who tells him the story of Daisy[/spoil]
[spoil]Bonnie’s playtimes seem to usually be fantasy/sci-fi,[/spoil] while Andy’s was more western/historical “damsel in distress” type playtimes.
[spoil]Bonnie doesn’t just take the toys I don’t think - when she finds Woody she looks around to see if he came from anybody, and Chuckles might have tried to escape too and then she found him.[/spoil] (shrug)
Are we just observing her, or what? I’m confused.
Most of my conclusions are from reading the Junior Novelization and from seeing a few clips of new characters like Buttercup, Trixie etc and putting two and two together. -Omar
