Seeing what Pixar thinks about Box Office success is highly refreshing after two months of Jim Hill “news” reports where his only sources are Disney bean counters and the picture is never balanced. The most striking part of it was how Hollywood seems to expect “The Second Coming of the Lord” every time Pixar comes up with something. I think people need to understand: Nemo’s BO performance was the exception, not the rule, just like Lion King. Pixar just need to keep to their guns and eventually, another exception will pop up to satisfy all.

It’s nice to hear about what Pixar are thinking from Brad Bird himself. The fact that he said that Pixar would still be happy even if they released a film that didn’t do well commercially just proves what a unique animation studio Pixar is. And the whole market research thing concerning the title ‘Ratatouille’ is just funny! Thanks for the link, RMS Oceanic!

I just loved reading that interview. I think I like the ending part of it the best. Thanks RMS Oceanic.
