There are actually about 120, but I narrowed it down to the most familiar ones. One of my favorites is Beach Chair.
soare- The list above compiles all of Pixar’s short films in the official canon. You can find them all over the internet, but if you’re a big Pixar fan like me, you can buy Pixar Short Films Collection- Volume I. Expect the list below to grow by the end of this year by one or two unknown shorts coming in June and November. And, welcome to Pixar Planet!
A113- Beach Chair and other related “shorts” are actually animation tests that do not count as short films.
Martin: I see what you’re saying. Beach Chair wasn’t much of a “film”. xDDD
But don’t forget their 71 commercials! ![]()
A113- Yes, their commercials, I didn’t know there where 69, but I do know that there’s a difference with shorts and commercials. One is for entertainment and the other is for advertisement.
Can you give a reference to these numbers?
Wow! That’s a lot of commercials… Haha.
But I can believe it ![]()
Thanks, i want to buy the dvd but here in Romania i don`t find him yet. Until the dvd i watch them on net. Do you know a site where is say all names of the short movie. thanks again
Oh, I knew it was 71. I went and counted them at the Pixar history site, but it looks like I forgot it. Thanks for reminding me, PV! ![]()
soare, although Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, anyone in the world can edit it, and it is a poor resource for Pixar information. The best resource would most likely be Pixar themselves, and here are some sites on the Pixar website you might like:
http://www.pixar.com/companyinfo/history
http://www.pixar.com/shorts/index.html
However, the last time the Pixar website was updated with information was sometime in early 2007, so that might not be such a good source, either.
Pixar’s Shorts DVD lists all of their short films, but they are missing Your Friend the Rat, since it is only the first volume.
That’s why I’ve provided the list above for you. ![]()
A113 you sad that they are 71 and i can find the name on the pixar history site ?

Oh, the commercials? I’m terribly sorry. At the moment, I don’t know where you can find a list of them, but I’ll look for you. ![]()
tnx very much
if you can find the book To Infinity and Beyond, The History of Pixar (or afford it, is it rather expensive) they have 4 pictures from 4 of the commercials they made: Tropicana, Trident, Listerine, Life Savers
Does anyone know if the commercials can be found on YouTube?
And I’ll have to check out that book, lennonluvr9
. Sounds cool ![]()
Some can be seen on YouTube; I believe only the LifeSavers ones, though.
Cool Mint Listerine
Lifesavers Gummi Savers
Lifesavers Holes
Listerine
The quality of each video is the best of what I found. Enjoy!
~~=oP
Thanks, PV!
I had never seen a lot of those. Probably because a lot of them were made before I was born, or shortly after ![]()
The Lifesavers Holes one looked very Pixar to me.
Didn’t they make a commercial with the same birds that were in For The Birds in it? I’m pretty sure I remembered seeing something that featured them in a commercial for tennis balls, or something. Haha.
I may be mistaken, though ![]()
