Now don’t kill me Dash and tonyloaf, I just don’t like the whole shebang…action,
superheroes, explosions.
I’ve never been a fan of James Bond or that sorta thing either, so that’d
explain that dislike of action etc.
So I was just wondering, anyone else not really like The
Incredibles.
It not my favorite Pixar film personally, but I still love it!
Anything Pixar related I love.

I agree with you, luxo. There’s
nothing bad about The Incredibles- it truly is an amazing film in pretty much every way possible!- but it’s not
to my taste at all. Things like the soundtrack, which is actually very good, and very suiting for the film,
annoys me, only because I’m not keen on the genre at all. I still watch The Incredibles every now and then,
though- it shows how good Pixar is, as I’m still convinced to watch something that I should technically be
repelled by.

lizardgirl: Lol.
Yes, I can see your point, luxo. The
Incredibles is not my favorite Pixar film to boot, either; however, it still holds a special place
in my Pixar collection. For some odd reason, I have a heck of a time trying to “adjust” to Brad Bird’s
films. It takes me a while to get used to them, but, after several “forced” viewings, I come to enjoy
them just as much as any other Incredibles fan.
Let’s hope that
Dash, tonyloaf, and The Star
Swordsman don’t kill us…
Guys, look at the banner at the top of this page. It doesn’t say "Incredibles
Planet," “Nemo Planet,” “Monsters Planet,” or whatever. It says "Pixar
Planet." So what if you guys don’t like “The Incredibles.” So what that yeah, a lot of the
members here started out hanging out on any of a number of Incredibles boards. As long as you like Pixar, it
doesn’t matter which of their movies you like or don’t like. You are welcome here.
We aren’t going to
kill you.

Plus as long it’s not bashing
the film then you’ll be fine…
At 1st I totally thought ‘The Incredibles’ were a rip-off the Fantastic
Four, but like you guys/girls said I somehow come to terms & enjoy the film

KyrieEleison: You certainly have a point there. I hope you realize that I was just
kidding, though. Sometimes my humor can get out of hand…
The Incredibles was the Pixar film that made the Pixar fan
I am today, yet now that I’ve become enamored with the company as a whole and all of their films, it’s slipped
to 5th on my list. I still love it, of course, but I think in part I became just a little tired of the movie
after watching it so many times. I guess I picked up on a few tiny nuances that just bothered me a tiny bit.
I’ve become re-enamored with it lately, though, having a, as Mitch puts it, “forced” viewing and
picking up on a lot more things that are great about the film that I hadn’t noticed before.
It’s still
not my very favorite Pixar film, but still a great movie.
Of course, Finding Nemo is my least favorite Pixar
film, so maybe my opinion of all their films should be completely disregarded as dumb.
…or me.

It doesn’t bother me that some people aren’t fans of The Incredibles, but I don’t like the idea of a
thread that asks who dislikes something. I remember back in the days of the older forums when one of our members
(I forget who) started a thread about Syndrome-haters, and that didn’t
last.
I’m not saying that what you’ve posted is wrong, because you’re not
hating on The Incredibles. You’re just not a fan, and I respect that.

~~=oP
Okay, so you don’t like the Incredibles. I don’t care.
You are completely entitled to your opinion. Some are not as obsessive as others. You are allowed to like what
ever movie you want. Don’t worry. I don’t feel offended at all.

kills luxo j/k =P
EXECUTIVE ORDER: Ok - All
thread bashers out. I kinda like this thread actually and if you don’t like it you can get
lost.
Marty 17: I actually sympathize with you there some. At first I was
dead set against The Incredibles when it first came out because I too saw it as a rip off of the Fantastic Four.
In fact, I actually never saw it until December 5th a full month after its release when my kid brother finally
forced me to go and instantly I was hooked! I even had to go back again the next night.
Like
DElf though it was The Incredibles that started my whole Pixar craze. Actually at
first it was just The Incredibles but when I started to study Brad Bird I realised how wonderful the whole
animation artform was and consequentially how amazing Pixar was within that industry. From such it came to this.
The Incredibles is and probably will always be or at least be for quite some time my favorite movie let alone my
favorite Pixar film. Although, I have often wondered exactly where it stands as a favorite among Pixar films in
the real world. No matter how you spin it this community was based off of a long line of Incredibles community
so the number of die-hard Incredifans here compared to the other movies isn’t indicative of the real world.
Either way though I think we can all agree that the debate is which film is the best as opposed to which is the
worst because no Pixar film belongs in the same sentence with the word worst. =)

Thanks for that Dash, and the thread title is a bit strong, I just meant, who’s not a
major league fan.

But yeah, I have that exact same views as lizardgirl and Mitch.
I
will still sit down and watch it and respect it, and also, it’s quite a good story. But, saying that, I won’t
do it as readily as say Toy Story, Monsters Inc, A Bugs Life. Those movies just seem a little more, I dunno,
easier on me. I enjoy them more
KyrieEleison Your right, but the don’t kill
me part was just sorta kidding. Dash and tonyloaf are cooler than that
.
And to put it another way,
at first it was like joining a Supercar forum, that had been started by Ferrari fans, when you don’t really like
Ferrari. I had that sort of mentality, so I just wanted to know who felt the same way.
Anyway, I completely
understand why The Incredibles is so popular with so many Pixar fans. But I am, in a
way, pleased you started this thread, luxo- I was starting to get curious about this myself.
But yeah,
Dash, you’re completely right; the words ‘Pixar’ and ‘worst’ just don’t go.

No problem lizardgirl, I’m glad
I’ve found someone else in the same position.
And Dash, you summed it up completely.
And I also
see why it’s so popular, it’s really cool for an action nut or people that like their explosions and fighting.

PixarVixen: You’d kill us
too, huh?
Just kidding…
Dash: Thanks for surmising that up so
eloquently.
luxo: Explosions and hugs…
And yes, I also thank you for creating this thread. In a way, it seems to help those non-Incredilovers express
their feelings about the film in their own light…just as long as it doesn’t resort to bashing.
Yes, I
have to admit that The Incredibles is not at the top of my list, but it is a
beautiful film all the same, and deserves to be respected. The Pixar animators put their backs into making that
film; they probably worked overtime due to the level of quality that was needed to make the characters of
The Incredibles so engaging and life-like. What with the numerous rigging they had
to do to create certain features of people and objects (hair, clothing, etc.), plus the fact that
The Incredibles is Pixar’s first all-human cast, it’s out of the question to
not give them credit for attempting to push past the barrier of the near
impossible.

Yeah, I would never resort to bashing this movie, it’s
still a good movie, but just in our minds (lizardgirl Mitch and I), it’s not the same as those absolute greats
as Monsters Inc and Toy Story.
. I’m glad you respect our opinion Dash, less mature people would fly off the
handle.
Good thing we got a nice forum here.

Indeed. This is the best forum I’ve ever been on, and that’s the truth. It’s
clean, it’s fun, and it’s free.
You can say that again, Mitch!
You hit it right on the money Mitch. It?s so fun being on
the forms here at Pixar Planet. I love that there are so many Pixar fans here discussing Pixar
stuff.

I know – isn’t it great? We should dedicate a post or
something to Dash and everybody else who created this wonderful website.
