Is it just me, or is anyone else afraid of what’ll happen in “Wall-E”?
The things I really need to see in it:
All Animation: I don’t want any live-action unless it’s just the “Hello Dolly” scene. Humans as animated blobs would be fine, but I don’t want any live-action people running about. If the Buy ‘N’ Large people are live-action, so be it, but only if he visits the website and there aren’t any live-action things interacting with Wall-E… John Ratzenburger: He has to have a speaking role! He just has to! Speaking at All: I’m not really all for a silent movie. A113: Don’t break the tradition! Pizza Planet Truck: Fun to look for.
I know that Mr. Stanton did great on “Finding Nemo”, and I know I should try new things, but I hope and pray that “Wall-E” doesn’t break any traditions.
Half of this may not even be in production anyways. My worries may only be rumors/speculations. What do you think?[/list]
John Ratzenberger promised at the ratatouille DVD & Blu-Ray party that he’d be in WALL-E, he hasn’t recorded his role yet.
There will be some speaking by [spoil]Jeff Garlin[/spoil].
I don’t see why they would break the A113 tradition.
I can see the Pizza Planet truck as [spoil]a rusted car in the junkyard that is Earth in 2700[/spoil] but that’s just my assumption.
Oh, and I’m all for the live-action (in moderation) it sounds fun!
To be honest, when it comes to Pixar films, I rarely speculate and generally just let things take its course. At the end of the day, it’s Pixar, and whatever decisions they make will always be positive for their films, since they’ve made it really clear that that’s what they’re concerned about- making good quality films. If they’re animated, not animated, silent, whatever, that’s still their key focus and if they continue in that tradition, it’s always going to be okay.
I think John Ratzenberger will be in there somewhere.
Sorry, but I don’t remember a “tradition”. It didn’t appear in Finding Nemo or Toy Story 2 or Monsters, Inc. But I’m all for the A113 appearing in the film .
I hope it’s in there somewhere, too.
Just let Pixar do what they’re going to do. I wasn’t too crazy about a movie about a talking racecar that makes friends, but Pixar made it turn out great, and it’s one of my favorite movies now!
Well, it’s nice that Pixar picked up on this tradition, but it wasn’t started at Pixar. It’s in a lot of animated films.
It’s a CalArts thing. Not a Pixar thing. It’s just a bunch of people from Pixar went to CalArts.
Don’t worry pal because : John Ratzenberger has a small speaking role
The picture will have less dialogue compared to previous Pixar movies but definitely is not a silent movie
A113 tradition won’t be broken
Pizza Planet will be present (maybe part of the Buy ‘n’ Large company, but that’s my guess)
Live action will be integrated via monitor 'cause the only live character is the president and founder of Buy ‘N’ Large presumed dead or hybernated by the time Wall-e begins his love quest.
The same case for the Hello Dolly cast
I am not afraid that they are going to break any traditions anytime soon. In fact, i think they would be crazy to do something like that. I’ll start looking for them once the movie comes out.
