American Idol will have a new face at the judges’ table when the eighth season debuts in January. Singer-songwriter Kara DioGuardi will join Randy, Paula, and Simon as the fourth judge on the popular reality FOX program:

I heard it on the radio yesterday morning. I was am a little excited for the idea. I think it is a good choice.

never heard of him…but i did hear the the youngest contestant and the oldest contestant are being added
I’m glad!!! That’s a great choice for a fourth choice–and we finally get a sane judge on this show!!!
Honestly, I thought this thread was a hoax. Then I was monumentally disappointed, and now I’m hyped about it! I never miss an episode of this show. A 4-person judging panel does beg the question, however,
Who’s going to be the tiebreaker?!
Maybe Ryan will like his new job.
