(Please let this go mods, it’s just a little bit of fun.)

Which looks better, Andrew with or without facial hair?

I’d say without, since it makes him look younger. But his beard does make him seem more intelligent. :stuck_out_tongue:

With the beard, definitely.

It makes him look older, wiser … most obviously hairier.

But it does suit him. nod

I’m just imagining how weird it would be for him if he went on the forums and saw a thread about his facial hair.

“Kids these days …” :unamused:

I’m not keen on beards usually, but he just isn’t Andrew Stanton without his ruffle!

I didn’t beleive that it was Stanton in the first picture

I say with his beard.

With. Without he looks a bit nerdier (not that there’s anything wrong with that!) and he looks a bit to much like Brad Bird to me.

Edit: OOPS! I mixed up with and without. My bad. I actually like it with better.

Definitely with the beard. His personality even seems to be different without his beard…

He does seem a lot younger without the beard, but I still like it better with it.

With the beard.

Exactly!

But then what that first person said, that he looks wiser, yes that too.

But I don’t really like his hair now, just the beard.

XD I wonder what he’d look like with his hair before and the beard.

The responses to this have been really funny, heheh. If you watch “Notes on a Score”, he strokes his beard when thinking about what decisions to make, lol. Maybe the beard was the secret behind the success of WALL•E! :stuck_out_tongue:

Actually, I like him better without it. He looks much younger that way. Come to think of it, I rarely prefer facial hair on a guy. Only on certain guys does that work. I’m not saying Andrew looks bad with a beard, cuz he doesn’t, I just think he looks better without it.

Stanton looks better without the beard.
It made him look more skillfully or possibly more genius looking then compared to now.
I believe his clear facial appearance matched well before and during the time he was working on FN for production in Pixar.

The picture of him with his Oscar award, for I’m assuming because of his first masterpiece, looks kind of screwy. When I saw the Academy Awards on television back in 2004, I did not see him look that bad on camera.

With that current image of him below the Oscar one, I had seen more of his ‘stuff’ on him about 1-2 years ago if I remember, in a short video interview on E!. But not sure if it was on there where I saw it.

Appears’ he trimmed down on the look now

I think I like Mr. Stanton without facial hair.

Since we know that he has been here before, I think he would have already seen this.

Without his facial follicles, he looks like Michael Douglas from Falling Down.

Maybe his 5 o’ clock shadow was from his long hours working on WALL-E? Kind of like a ‘badge’ he earned at the end of his exhausting JOURN-E.

Oh, and in case you’re reading this Mr Stanton, you look cooler with a beard.

I really don’t know. I’ll decide later since I became familiar on his face on picture 1 until I’ve seen his face (picture 2) on the teaser trailer of WALL-E.

thedriveintheatre - I can see a resemblance between Andrew Stanton and that character. I think it’s the glasses. :sunglasses: And, yep, I think it was all of the long hours on WALL•E that created the beard - the man didn’t even have time to shave!

rachel - Ha-ha! You and your Pixar men.

Well, looks aren’t everything, but he does look way better with a beard, in my opinion. He looks more amiable and laid back, like a tug boat captain or something. Heheh.

With facial hair by far.

Or Andrew could go for the short hair and 'stache look like during the production of Finding Nemo.

Aye?

Hey, I don’t have a “crush” on Andrew. I just think facial hair is funny. Like Brad Bird’s moustache in his old CalArts photo. 8D
