In toy story after Buzz and Woody become friends do you realize that Woody is his favorite again? And also how did he know her name is Jessie in 2 he calls her bazooka jane and in 3 he calls her Jessie.
Internet??
The real life Jessie has a pull string phrase that says “Hi Im Jessie!”.
theres also one that mentions bullseye.
I’m almost positive there’s a previous thread on this.
Chances are Andy knew Jessie’s name, along with Woody’s and Bullseye’s name because of one phrase in Jessie’s and Woody’s voice box. Most talking toys have a base phrase saying who they are, “Hey howdy hey, I’m sherrif Woody” etc
Woody could have a phrase, “Ride like the wind Bullseye”, just as Jessie might have a phrase that says something like, “Hey howdy hey, I’m Jessie” or “Let’s call the critters!”
As for Buzz and Woody; their friendship mirrors how Andy plays with them- first he has Buzz shoot Woody (in Strange Things), later just before going to Pizza Planet, he has Buzz stomp on Woody. Later on, in TS2, Andy has them as “the unstoppable team of Woody and Buzz Lightyear!”
Its a movie; have fun -Omar
[spoil]Even at the end, it’s never occured to Andy thta toys are alive.[/spoil] A ndy playing with Woody again was just the fact that, as Bo Peep said, she’d always have a special place for him. Plus, Woody’s a special toy to Andy because he’s an old family toy. And if you’re still not convinced, [spoil]just listen to Andy’s speech about Woody in Toy Story 3.[/spoil]
It’s also always been my personal theory that it’s one of her pull-string phrases (my Jessie doll says something like “Howdy, I’m Jessie”).
My theory was that maybe since Woody was Andy’s dad’s, maybe his mom knows about other Woody’s Roundup characters from him. I never considered Pull-string phrases, but now that I think of it that seems much more likely.
Edit: I just realized that this post makes me a Mutant Toy!
I’m guessing “ride like the wind, Bullseye!” is his eighth pullstring phrase, since I’m pretty sure he says it during the playtime scene, and there was nowhere else to find Woody’s quotes. Plus, Woody’s pullstring phrases are portrayed as normal parts of his dialouge (“reach for the sky!”).
